new album any good? i liked transatlanticism and parts of Plans.

reckon Gibberd needs to write about something other than relationships/chix, but have always liked Walla's production.

beertickle  said about 4 months ago:

I think the new one has some really strong songs. A bit different sonically as well. Lyrical content is much along the same lines though.

nicko_mcbrain  said about 4 months ago:

is it in the gmail?

McGauz  said about 4 months ago:

i need a ticket to the Sydney show!!! someone sell me one. Please. I will stay in Sydney an extra night if I get to see Death Cab.

McGauz  said about 4 months ago:

tugboat  said about 4 months ago:

show time tonite?

esquared  said about 4 months ago:

So tonight i went to the Myspace TV gig and believe it or not, the sound and crowd were so, so, so much better. For the half hour it lasted i enjoyed it way more than last night.

Great setlist too...

Champagne From A Paper Cup, A Movie Script Ending, 405, Grapevine Fires, Talking Bird, Photobooth, Title & Registration

aloha  said about 4 months ago:

!

what did they play at the enmore?

esquared  said about 4 months ago:

aaah cant remember off the top of my head.

from memory the pre-plans stuff was company calls/epilogue, movie script, why you'd want to live here, title & reg, sound of settling, tiny vessels, transatlanticism...

really wish they would've played blacking out the friction

whatwhat  said about 4 months ago:

nothing will ever compare to the petersham bowls gig.

mad props to the good folks who organised that one.

aloha  said about 4 months ago:

rah, i can't believe i missed the built to spill gig there.

redlips  said about 4 months ago:

yeah - woulda loved to go tonight but yeah... stuff on, and nothing can beat that petersham bowlo gig.

McGauz  said about 4 months ago:

how much would you pay for a ticket? I'm in Brisbane and was bidding on a ticket on eBay for the show at the Tivoli tonight.. but it started getting a little pricey.. as in, I was willing to pay over $100 for it and it is currently $160. Money isn't a real issue when I want to go so badly.. but it's a bit fucking ridiculous.

MrsGideon  said about 4 months ago:

Hmm... it was good, but if you've seen them before, I wouldn't be paying $160 for a ticket.

I wanted them to play Blacking Out the Friction in Melbourne too, but they didn't. Waah.

McGauz  said about 4 months ago:

I haven't seen them at all yet.. I've missed the last two tours... :( hence why I'd possibly pay that much... cos I'm on holiday, so my spending is a little freer when on holiday. I missed tix for Melb. Then tried to get some for Sydney on Monday night when I was there, now I'm in Brisbane. Could say I'm following the band around the country by default ;)

esquared  said about 4 months ago:

tell me about the petersham gig. I remember being a bit cut that I couldn't find a way to get in on it
