speaking of the gmail, would someone be so kind as to PM me with the new password?
Could someone PM me it too.
On the subject of the band though, too derivative for me. The melodies especially just sound too familiar. I wanted to like it, I really did!
shut up kafta
Didn't really get into the song I listened to... kinda like Interpol goes Slumberland.. But there be more songs!
I bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day. Love it.

Record's way better than the live act sadly
band names just keep getting worse and worse.
Woah, this dude was telling me about this band at Applecore!
Gotta grab this!
can someone please PM me the password for gmail too?? thankee
this is awesome.
please be the first wave of a c86 revival movement
I'd love the gmail password too please...
Yeah highly derivative but highly enjoyable as well.
bloody hell HEB, you're always months ahead of the rest!
Could I be a bitch and request gmail, too! Eep!

I saw them support The Wedding Present last December :)
BTW, perhaps more C81 than C86, but what do you make of Wake The President?
saw them when they still had a drum machine. i win. good time to say that Summer Cats have a split 7'' with POBPAH out on Slumberland. there be copies at Polyester.
also y'all should BUY their album don't just download it. It's one of the few decent O/S releases to get local distro in recent times, make the most of it...
I listened to the album on repeat heaps last week. Very likeable. 'Young Adult Friction' gets me all woozy-like.
I looked for it today, couldn't find it.
I was at Missing Link though.

I've completely changed my mind about this album, it's magnificent. There's a Church/Cure thing there, and that lyrical sweetness is evident throughout, but it doesn't strike me as verging into ''Dawson's Creek'' territory.
Same, took a while but I'm really liking it now.
These guys get excoriated in Collapse Board. As do every band that make a conspicuous effort to do something great, I feel.
totally agree with max. its abit of a grower
New album is great.
i like the new pains! Girl of 1000 dreams is probably their best song
it's like they'rea concept band about being a coy sensitive misfit teenager, like as if PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER was a band (that book sucks)

They originally released their album, In Her Gentle Jaws as a free download on their site; it's gone now, as it has been remastered/released on CD, but you may still be able to find a download of it somewhere.
Sadly Depreciation Guild split. Their second record, Spirit Youth was more subtle with the 8-bit sounds. There's a free earlyish EP on 8 bit peoples.
