Shelves.
Coles green bags. Looks SWEEEET!
I have these old photo album book type things I 'borrowed' off my grandmother
Floor.
ikea sell shelves that fit 12s perfectly
anyone know where i can pick up 7'' boxes?
You could always do a search
as jackets as 70's ford and holden car seat covers.
as/and.
(sorry rigid)
7'' record boxes
Just cardboard up some green bags, don't stack to many on top of each other.
Boingo!
IKEA shelf is the best, if you've got a spare $280 to blow on storage.
i've always wanted to make a wall hanging sleve system that enables one to turn their wall into a massive phallic shrine of conquests
careful of mould/rising damp, frankie.
A lot of mine got fucked up from rising damp and a water leakage.
ask Rigid.
Get shelves. Don't fuck around with it. Officeworks got a similar shelves unit to IKEA's Expedit series. The Officeworks one is only 6 cubes if you are worrying about it taking up too much space. Don't stack any LPs in green bags. Ever.

Nah.... it's fine, really!
what about the best way to post vinyl overseas? i'm thinking of clearing out most of my vinyl, and i'm hoping that the rare stuff gets picked up by wealthy europeans.
What have you got dub3000?
Haha! Exactly what I was thinking.

this one would have at least costed over three grand, coz each stand is like 1200 US.

Been putting my 7'' records into Coles Snap Seal resealable storage bags.
30 pack 22cm x 25cm = $2.50 (8 cents each)
Not sure if it's good or bad for the records, but at least they're not getting dusty.
dairy farmers sussed on to the old milk crates as storage many years ago, as the once were the perfect size. the bastards went and made 'em just that lil' bit smaller - enough to render them useless for storage.
Anyways - any collector worth their salt knows to just bite the bullet and get the ikea expiditer unit (if you can't afford lovely timber custom made, that is).
I use Ikea Traby's stackable shelves. Not cheap but perfect for records
Here's a pic I found of someone's records housed in the same shelves as I have.
That's exactly what I need.
they come in single blocks, double or quadruple. Check the Ikea website for prices.
so yeah, just learnt from this thread that they don't make TRABY anymore... angry!
Absolute fucken disgrace!
omg i need those. no ikea in nz.
ho hum....
i don't mind the expedit ones
expedit is good. you can get all sizes.
also this mob:
cheltenham VIC
oops
http://www.sedlif.com.au/product_view.do?idProduct=39
figured it out now
How many records can one of those sedlif cubes hold?
bout the same as an expedit cube i guess - maybe 50 or so
i just hate that ikea melamine (melamite? malamute?) stuff.
yeah, I wanted real, unpainted wood - the sedlif ones are made out of wood, but no 'natural' ones...
the sedlif ones you can't get from the factory in cheltenham unless you have an abn.
they sell to the public through a shop in carnegie, a homwares shop in neerim rd. $35 flatpacked. $40 built.
so they more expensive but kind of funkier than an expedit.
Expedit's $189 now. Just brought home 2 sets. Construction next week, hopefully.
