Muscles vs Modular vs Nevereverland

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago  or at  11:46AM on Tuesday, December 2 2008.

Wow!

So will they cancel their little festival?

Will Ben Butler end up going in pity?

Will Muscles ever play in this town again?

monkeyman  said 36 days ago:

I just read that article.

Good on Muscles for speaking his mind once again.

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago:

yes. And more artists should do so.

And good on m+n for reporting it as such too.

How long before they get a call from Modular, all sooky like?

Block  said 36 days ago:

Poor blind three-legged conjoined-twin kitten.

k2  said 36 days ago:

Dropped from the bill due to financial restraints? Geez, what's his appearance fee these days?

goingblank  said 36 days ago:

Hah, full credit to Muscles for that - pretty hilarious.

So many snarky little news pieces lately - is this weather making people a bit cranky?

hillsonghoods  said 36 days ago:

It's good that the Muscles article didn't get pulled, you're right.

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago:

yes hillsong, perhaps the music journo indusctry isnt all inbred and corrupt afterall

knerf  said 36 days ago:

The Whitest Boy Alive sideshow would probably make them more money than the whole festival. IF THERE WAS ONE. I'd pay $40ish to see TWBA. I wouldn't pretend to be Butler to go to the festival tho.

anonymous  said 36 days ago:

quick, organise a competing gig for the 14th with muscles and call it peter pan.

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago:

Somehow I dont think Butler would go, even if you gave him a free ticket.

hillsonghoods  said 36 days ago:

are you suggesting that there's a tendon-cy in the australian music media to brush things under the carpet?

tangy_zizzle  said 36 days ago:

Kudos to muscles for telling it how it is!

eastside  said 36 days ago:

i'm confused.....

“They apparently are not selling many tickets. I feel sorry for them … like I feel sorry for a blind three-legged conjoined-twin kitten.”

So does that mean he feels sympathy or doesn't feel sympathy

????????????????????

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago:

no. Im suggesting there's a tendon-cy in the australian music media to interchange cash/cock/cunts for comment.

Scientificsupercake  said 36 days ago:

pun alert!!

definitely  said 36 days ago:

So does that mean he feels sympathy or doesn't feel sympathy

I think it means he does feel sympathy for them, but he means it in a patronising way.

Innocent Bystander  said 36 days ago:

i think he'd rather they all burn their nostrils out through some freak coke/caustic soda switcheroo mishap.

hillsonghoods  said 36 days ago:

pun alert!!

Was my pun so bad that it made you groin?

Poor Pav. Literally.

Modi  said 21 days ago:

I heard muscles on Saturday night.

He should concentrate more on his music, and less on his public profile.

gardenia  said 20 days ago:

Muscles is definitely Matt Church-ish. And Matt Church is definitely Muscles-ish. There are many similarities come to think of it.

They both come on here and self-promote in a fashion which displays no grace or street respect. They both come on here and argue vehemently with anyone who should be outrageous enough as to not like their music, and, heaven forbid, say so!

They both take insults regarding their music incredibly personally and get very defensive/abusive as a result.

They both make music that is ridiculously reminiscent of one particular time and place. And some would say this time and place is long since outdated.

They both think ''the world is out to get them'', are clearly suffering a similar kind of psychiatric condition, and should both be receiving professional mental help.
