OK I just tried bumping an old post n it didnt work...

Need a Rec on tattoo place in Sydney..??? Any suggestions. Im looking for a place that specialises in 'free hand' ...as in they can design the art with you, rather than out of a book...???

????

Post pictures of your tattoos.

I reckon I was the only person at the party I went to tonight who didn't have a tattoo. I felt so square.

Tramdriver  said about 4 years ago:

Weird- was thinking about starting a fred about tattoos on my other bored(sic) whre bumping oldies is frowned upon. Seriously thinking of getting mine done- I have the design just a good tattooist who can work with me so it can be exactly what I want, and have the funds. Anyone been to the tattooist at Peril Underground?

I almost did when I was a student, on a windy afternoon, when I was feeling depressed. Glad I skipped on that whim.

A few tattoos at the party I went to last night too, but I never really feel square for that sort of thing. After all, tattoos are a pretty obvious way of trying to tell the world something about yourself. I like them, but I'm not the kind of person who needs them to set me apart. I reckon if I got a sleeve or something, I'd start acting like even more of a fuckwit.

adamdmills  said about 4 years ago:

i'm only a few weeks out from getting my third tattoo. i'm pretty addicted to them at this point. i've even started thinking of adding some new bits and pieces to my first, and possibly even turning it into a full sleeve. i don't know. we'll see how my creativity and bank balance are looking next year.

i did a free hand tattoo last night..... there's something spesh about freehand....dude seemed to like it.

postergirl  said about 4 years ago:

like, a home made tattoo? Permanent? The guy who did the Home Made Tattoos book was at this party actually.

I've also had the urge to get a tattoo when I've been feeling a bit depressed/mental.

TATOOZ R 4 CRAZIES!!

Sorry- that's not mine, but it's what I would get if I were Richard Dawkins.

Tramdriver  said about 4 years ago:

I have the bones of a design; it is a photo that I edited in paint (seriously! channel 10) that I would be too embarassed to actually take to a tattooist. Have a friend who can draw- he said he would help me out. Failing that I will print it and get some tracing paper. :(

Friends Forever  said about 4 years ago:

fulton girls club  said about 4 years ago:

Friends Forever  said about 4 years ago:

you serious? did you like it?

fulton girls club  said about 4 years ago:

I had a different badly done tattoo done over with this instead. I'm extremely happy with it.

What are the most painful places to get tattooed?

Thrummmer  said about 4 years ago:

Hands, feet, spine...head....generally the closer to the bone, the more its gonna hurt. The more flesh = less pain.....

Hmmm. I might check it out. Whilst this one will be easy, my next one won't, so I'd like to save investigating twice and get the same person for both. Next one involves pretty intricate stuff, so the classic art dudes are probably not gonna be right for me...

Fox Body Art on Smith Street did my tattoo and I have nothing but positive things to say about them, especially the chick who did it. I think her name was Kat?

Tattoo Magic, Gertrude Street.

I can vouch for them, Danny did the above Maxx tattoo as well as a few others of mine. Good people.

tigers  said about 3 months ago:

I'm looking for someone who can do a good job of something along the lines of this, though this is not the piece itself...

I don't know if that's harder or easier than the stuff upthread, but most places/artists i've come across in melbourne seem to specialise in more classic tattoo styles, with thicker lines.

tigers - try Teniele Sadd at Korpus Tattoo. (Sparta Lane, Brunswick) She does exceptional work.

Now I feel like a dork.

rawr  said about 2 months ago:

you'd probably be considered more a dork if you did know.

it's a comic, which was turned into an animated series in the mid 90s

Tramdriver  said about 2 months ago:

I'm curious- isn't hitting up Google or Wikipedia easier than asking people on here :-?

tigers  said about 2 months ago:

I think that's the point trammie.

Tramdriver  said about 2 months ago:

Oh so that's what Block meant - I thought Block meant he knew dorks so he what The Maxx was. OK then.
