Ok humans,
There's too much 'meh' news since the big O got in power, and I want results and excitement! Post any news of Obama 'Doin It' or 'Blowin It'.
Or is he just hanging around having sex?

I'm with you there. What's he doing? Just hiding out till 20 January 2009? Slack!
Has he cured racism yet? Done world peace?
Well done wipey, I was just going to look for something like that.
Aren't you lot reading the news?... He's trying to find a puppy for the girls!
If I were Obama, I'd be on a week-long sex and coke bender with the wife.
She would call me ''Mr. President'', and I would call her everything under the sun.
... Probably shouldn't hit ''Post Comment'' on this one, huh?
Week long? Pfft! They've got 2 terms of that to look forward to!
Oh, the ''Mr. President'' would last forever, but the bender can only go so long.
he met with Bush today to discuss transition and the major issues facing america - he has already stated getting security/intelligence briefings as well
he has been vetting potential members of his cabinet.
He has already named Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff (i think that's the job title)
Frontrunner for secretary of state is John Kerry (given his foriegn policy experience, his alignment with Obama's stated goals, and his ability to work closely with Joe Biden)
He has also started to push his team on finding a way to closse gitmo and hold trials of terror subjects within the US judiciary system (as opposed to the Bush Military Gitmo jurisdiction)
so yeah for a few days in he has already started to do allot.
I think medman's got a new boyfriiiiend..
CALL ME MR. PRESIDENT!
hahah knerf! i am definitely an Obama fan. I agree with a amjority of his platforms, however, mostly I'm excited to see someone in the whitehouse who is intielligent, thoughtful and deliberate in their decision making. will make a nice change for the world. cool calm and collected.
There was something in that Newsweek behind-the-scenes special on the election (which is wonderful) where one of Obama's staffers was saying that he was looser and more relaxed after a night with Michelle when he was on the campaign trail. And that she told him that he could only run for President if he quit smoking.
In fact, those Newsweek articles are awesome in general. Apparently McCain and his inner circle took to calling Biden ''Joe the Biden'' in the last few weeks.
haha, I'd kind of picked up on that ;) But yeah, same.
Pussy-whipped!
What's this about him having a basketball court and bowling alley installed at the White House?
Depends on what he was smoking..
he hasn't quit smoking yet - so that is one promise broken ;) apparently the stress of the trail caused him to take it up again during the long primary fight.
he is planning on installing a basketball court at the white house though.
i haven't heard about the bowling alley.
but yeah I'm with hilly - the newsweek 7 chapters of what went on during the campaign in each camp was very interesting

If you only read one thing about the election...

China's not happy Jules....
http://www.smh.com.au/national/chinese-warn-of-crossfire-over-base-20111116-1njd1.html
''''However, Gillard may be ignoring something - their economic co-operation with China does not pose any threat to the US, whereas the Australia-US military alliance serves to counter China,'' the article said.
'Australia surely cannot play China for a fool. It is impossible for China to remain detached, no matter what Australia does to undermine its security.''
The article contained tough warnings about future military collaboration with the US but refrained from threats of immediate retaliation.
''If Australia uses its military bases to help the US harm Chinese interests, then Australia itself will be caught in the crossfire,'' it said.
the press club was full of drunk international journos last night. none of them knew what day it was. pretty weird.
Interesting, looks like it's a showdown.
The Chinese army is 4,585,000 strong, Indonesia's is 982,000
2500 Marines is hardly anything for either to worry about. It's just posturing.
Have China cancelled any orders for iron or wool? Nah didn't think so.
They're a good trigger point though. Its not the 2500 marines only. Its the other stuff that can be positioned and used out of RAAF Tindal as well.
(And the indo/chinese military are still heavily reliant on numbers as opposed to technology, have little in the way of logistical support etc etc)
yeh i know it's a lot of big words.... i just don't like us being in the middle of the posturing...
It's a setback for our country.
Anyone read this foul, gutter-level article on news.com currently? Warning: blood will boil.
Is news.com the retarded cousin of the herald sun?
As far as I know, it's the generic internet pool for a bunch of News Limited's Aussie tabloid output. So more the retarded great-aunt.
i love how the 1st or 2nd fkn comment on that news article says ''i wonder if bob brown is jealous''
they never miss an opportunity
Just watched the speech.
Not. Fucking. Around.
Peter Garrett is s setback for our country.
Just had a live cross of the motorcade going through the main intersection of Darwin. There was about 6 people there.
Contrast it with Paul Keating's stress on the importance of strengthening ties and increasing regional cooperation with Indonesia and China, and acknowledging that we must reconfigure our national mindset to accommodate China's inevitable rise as a global power. Hmmm.
Bah, if a real war began between the actual first world powerhouses (not some 3rd world backwater) it, and we all, would be finished in about 2 days.
