Yep!
hello black wasp!
tell me...
italians or belgians?
I am fashion
I am physically unable to look good in clothes. The more fashionable or stylish the gear i buy, the worse I look.
hello fashion hayley - i'm honoured, you are
goalie - that's quite common
high fashion is for the genetically extreme
Italians for winter, Belgians for summer. Italians are shameful dressers in summer. Shameful! And their vacation garb leaves little to the imagination, yet much to be desired.
Which do you prefer?
i'd agree with that summation, bw
in fact, that's neat to a pin
belgians for summer
although i do have a very nice van noten cardigan
very warm
italians for tailoring
belgians for colour matching and flow
since you ask :)
What is your favourite label or designer? Of the things you have in your wardrobe, of course.
oooh, of the things i have...
a vanessa bruno top - black fine knit wool and a lace collar - very speshul
and probably a $20 high-waisted black pencil skirt by sunny girl
I can only afford op shop fashion :(
Pencil skirts are the bomb!
My favourite designers not in my wardrobe are Romance was Born. My favourite in my wardrobe is Ne-net. However I kinda prefer shopping at Savers to a boutique, mainly because I'm a poor student at the moment.
frankie - you rock op-shop fashion!
i like bassike - that shit looks comfy!
Awww.... shucks!
this thread was good
was... ouch
okay, some signs of neglect
liking oversize cotton kaftan style tops/dresses
and gladiator sandals :)
i abhor versace
I love Najee Direct and Joe Saba.
minkpink make lots of stuff i consider very wearable
and i love gorman
her stuff is consistently inventive and beautiful but comfy and long lasting as well
I was looking at a girl on the train the other day carefully put on her Prada sunglasses, which had huge arms on the sides, proudly displaying the Prada insignia, and I thought to myself
''Do you even know what that means? Would you know a Prada design if it didn't have their name plastered conspicuously all over it, and would you buy it if it didn't? Do you really think those glasses suit you, or are you just wearing them because Prada is a name that holds some kind of cache amongst your social group? Do you realise that it makes you look foolish and sheepish and more like a bogan than ever to wear them for the sole purpose of displaying the label? Would you buy a similar pair of sunglasses without the label just because of the style of them?''
Then I went back to reading my book.
What book were you reading?
I love fashion although I am not really ''in'' fashion.
Right now, for night time, I am all about pretending I am part of the Studio 54 elite with disco maxi dresses, sequined tunics, leotards, glo-mesh and gold, gold gold. Pass the hoop earrings and YSL cocktail rings, please. Now that the warmer weather is here for lunch dates I am once again doing vintage sun dresses, but with modern accessories to freshen things up. Day to day I am still convinced that I am actually a cowboy and wear old jeans, plaid shirts and victorian/civil war era mourning brooches.
Loving the Vogue View picks in pages 64 - 70 of Vogue Australia's December issue, so baroque and lavish. I think the models are wearing McQueen?
I'm still on a floral/prints fixation but I doubt that it will pass anytime soon.
I used to be all about more organic looking prints like florals, animal, etc but I'm really developing quite a liking for more geometric stuff lately. Still not 100% sold so for now I'm testing the waters with scarves and other accessories.
i look at whether or not the item is easy or difficult to fake. if it's easy, i figure it's probably a fake
so i think ''look at you, in your fake shit''
It was more that her sunglasses, whether real or not, didn't actually suit her head, or her outfit, or the occasion. Like wearing an Armani t-shirt or something.
but a genuine armani t-shirt would probably be quite nice, whereas a fake cheap t-shirt with ''armani'' screenprinted on it, is still a piece of shit
but i completely agree that wearing what doesn't suit you is an example of sad fashionvictimhood
I guess a genuine Armani t-shirt would be a good quality t-shirt, but if an Armani t-shirt is all the Armani you have, I still reckon it's retarded.
retardmani?
