i think the witch hats did a show with these guys, the lucky fucks. ooga boogas playin with em at gonerfest

juice_terry  said about 3 years ago:

We play'd about 2 or 3 i think they are totally awesome and fantastic dudes.

Total hicks!

Woollen Kits  said about 3 years ago:

Yeah, the album Sick To Death rules.
Up with there with Tyvek and Cheveu, I think.

celluloid hero  said about 3 years ago:

the 7''s are absolutely killer, i still only have the first one, but heard the 2nd one, and all the tracks on the tape split with the wrecks are on the album too (except Leave the Universe) so i don't really need that

JunkiePhil  said about 3 years ago:

It was 3
Oakland House party,
L.A Echo
and
Portland Beerland.
They were all good shows,
Crazy guys, Rob and Rod.
Real 'DUDE!' type dudes who sit on steps drink'n cans.

Favourite song: If I'm Insane.

I was just listening to a band called The Whines, which features one of the Eat Skull guys girlfriends. Not too bad at all.

I like some of Eat Skull's stuff. Not all.

Ubu  said about 3 years ago:

I found the LP a bit hard going at first. Everything made sense after I'd seen them live, and now I can't stop listening to the bloody thing. ''Punk Trips'', ''Puker Corpse'', ''I Licked A Spider'' are all bonafide fractured pop classics. One of the albums of the year for me.

Punk Trips melts my head off

rigid  said about 3 years ago:

eat skull bring it at gonerfest 5

it finally clicks for ubu and rigid and some other fella

celluloid hero  said about 3 years ago:

the album definitely rules. i also wasn't sold on it at first. there's so much going on in there it's amazing.

Ubu  said about 3 years ago:

A new song called ''Dawn In The Face'' is up on their myspazz now. A new album is taking shape as well entitled ''Wild and Inside''. I wish I found anything else interesting at the moment, but work is somewhat undewhelming.

celluloid hero  said about 3 years ago:

holy shit acoustic guitar

Psyclops  said about 3 years ago:

not as good as Meat Skull

orange_blossoms  said about 3 years ago:

this band was the coolest thing about america, I left there lp at steves gaff mind you and his yoga was a bit off in the end

Ubu  said about 3 years ago:

Did he tell you what to eat while listening to the album as well? I would suggest peanut butter & blood orange marmalade toast. I'm sure Steve would disagree though.

heath-dan  said about 3 years ago:

This record does indeed rule. Awesome band.

orange_blossoms  said about 3 years ago:

nah steve said bacon and eggs and we did, although I didn't eat them til after I had heard the record so I guess that doesn't count.
However peanut butter and marmalade are you having a laugh?

Ubu  said about 3 years ago:

I had it the other day as I was out of jam and thought I'd give it a go cause I like...living on the edge maaan. It was equally awesome as it was gross. Just like Eat Skull.

orange_blossoms  said about 3 years ago:

I have observed that you do like living on the edge broooo
alright I will give it a go

Poor Brisbane though, the sound at that venue is atrocious and the security are heavy-handed thugs

Quoted for truth. And let's not forget the ludicrously overpriced drinks. Unfortunately, Woodland seems to have become the go-to venue for cool touring bands. Apparently there weren't many people at the show on Friday night. I think they could have probably pulled a lot more people to a different venue.

alec m  said about 1 year ago:

have they been good shows so far or what?

alpsofmessandnoise  said about 1 year ago:

newcastle was banging

Gorn  said about 1 year ago:

Yeah they ruled in Newcastle. Excited for the Melbourne show.

Hellzapoppin  said about 1 year ago:

Heckle fest in Canberra last night.

moth  said about 1 year ago:

Really looking forward to their gig with The Renderers and Slug Guts. Killer lineup.

goldbuttons  said about 1 year ago:

man, I thought it sucked in Newcastle but after talking to people I think it was more a case of me being too drunk and lazy to pay real attention. Sunday in Syd though yeah yeah yeah

Were you there?

nishiki  said about 1 year ago:

wish the show hadn't run so late and there weren't so many breaks between songs. i'm sure there was a perfectly legit reason but i had to be up at 5am. gave up halfway through.

noneabove  said about 1 year ago:

I was. I renamed them Eat Shit after three songs. The songs were shit, their playing was shit, their jokes were shit and they got blown off stage by Slug Guts.

But hey, maybe they didn't consider Canberra to be worthy of a real gig, so just got really drunk and put in a terrible effort for that reason instead of them just being generally terrible.

Nada, was running on commentary provided by the above posting noneabove.

Yep, very fair assessment of the show.

Gorn  said about 1 year ago:

Melbourne show tonight at the Workers Club. Will be awesome.

Hellzapoppin  said about 1 year ago:

Any reports? I couldn't be arsed leaving the house in the end. Was going to sell my ticket but moshtix has some retarded system where one must change the name to pass it on.

specialaward  said about 1 year ago:

Renderers awesome again. That is all.

honkfink  said about 1 year ago:

were awesome in Sydney.. lots of gear breaking down while they held the songs together..

Renderers were great too..

bungle  said about 1 year ago:

Eat skull were great. Slug guts killed it too.

Didn't care much for the renderers, and a shitty mix with sound problems didn't help.

goldbuttons  said about 1 year ago:

eat skull were fuckin' a. I thought the Renderers were awesome despite sound problems. Slug Guts are intolerable.

gunshot_glitter  said about 1 year ago:

Slug Guts are intolerable

I miss the raspy vocals of a few years ago.

Ubu  said about 1 year ago:

eats skull were most excellent. wrestling with their equipment as per usual. some great songs are buried underneath all the sloppy antics and drunkenness.
