angry pub rock
VanLustbader did a cover of "coming Home" on Saturdee.
am I ever gonna see your face again?
no way get fucked fuck off.
Coming Home, or Coming Down?
they occupy this place in my mind along with the hoodoo gurus, men at work and the reels
bands which had one (surfacey) life in the mainstream charts and a whole other life (deeper, richer, etc) with their live sets and real personalities, but i only know them from their hits.
yeah, isn't coming home a radiators song? don't ask me why i know. or blame the fauves.
They're probably okay. Bad surburban bogan memories.
No Secrets is the tune I like best
I saw the Brewster Bros (the Angels sans Doc Neeson) last year. Just OK until Angry Anderson sang with them...then it was awesome.
I think they're great.
i like them. shadow boxer is a good song.

At the Green Room?
That's right! I shook Angry's hand afterwards...whoohoo!!!!
Rose Tattoo were better
Yeah I was at that gig, although it was more like two years ago.
Twas fucken great.
I would have liked to have seen the Angels with Neeson or a proper frontman. The songs are great, they just need a frontman/woman to make it awesome.
I did see Rose Tattoo w. Pete Wells and that was brilliant. Angry is a great frontman tho you have to be close to the front of the stage cause you he's hard to see due to his short stature.
"My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble!"
The Angels at The Palais on the Night Attack tour (just after Fashion and Fame came out - ~ 1980?) was one of the greatest gigs I've seen
Saw em a few times 15+ years ago.
Face to Face is the shit.
The Palais or the Palace, HEB?
The Palais

jesus christ - ANOTHER story about The Angels in The Age EG.
i just saw this dvd No Way Get F#ked, F#k Off!, oh my lord.
i feel dirty now, waht's the saying about you should never meet your heroes. i ended up secretly barracking for Buzz Bidstrup. it starts off with discussions of the Angels as a brand and goes downhill from there. Brewster Bros = wow
So a bit down the road from that documentary...
Is this a good reformation
Or one that should have stayed as a good memory?
WTF?

Buggeritt
Who cares about Pulp?
This is something I would go to see
What a great album it was
I saw them at Shoppingtown once. Great gig, strange venue, stranger crowd.
I always have wanted to go to a shoppingtown gig. I should ask my mate who played a support for jimmy barnes there what it's like.
How much for the Donny Inn gig? (I saw Mental As Anything there once in my sneak-in-underage schooldays)
Shoppingtown isn't the old Donnie Inn
That was on the corner of Donaster Road and Victoria Street
I think the shows are about $40 each
Doc Neeson is the support act for Motely Crue and Bret Michaels in September. Odd combination.
Things you learn from street press: Dave Gleeson now singing for the Angels, following a stint in an Angels cover band.
The Angels' Doc Neeson was earlier this month convicted of his fourth drink-driving offence, after returning a reading of 0.142 (three times the legal limit).
The Daily Telegraph reported that Neeson's solicitor told the court ''driving is an essential part of [Neeson's] situation,'' and was he was on a ''cocktail of medication'' when pulled over by police in July for a random breath test. The court also heard that Neeson hadn't drank for five months prior to the night in question, but had drank whiskey to ''self-medicate'' for ''debilitating influenza.''
Neeson pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $800 and disqualified from driving for nine months.
Docs also been performing solo of late with a band made up of half arsed session musos, with the lead guitarist a dead ringer for Craig mcglauchlan

9 months for .142 and fourth offence? Someone has a good lawyer...
Doc Neeson playing the Sando in Newtown on (Shadow) Boxing Day.
Story on the Age online about the documentary being made about em and how a Dick Smith's second hand hard drive corrupted footage is very interesting - hope Dick himself offers to find the release of the film.
I can't get over that Dave from Screaming Jets is their new singer.
Find? Fund. Fucking autocorrect.
