Has anyone watched this yet? The new series from Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) about Vampires and their plight to be treated as equal citizens? Just watched episode one, not bad, it's on the torrents.

I'd give anything by HBO a look... anyone interesting in it?
true blood
fuck yeah! Anna Paquin's in it
Yeah...worth a look I reckon.
Don't think it's out yet... 7th of September... though may be a leak floating around. Trailer looks interesting.
watched felon which is ok a little violent with a wak ending
All the reports I've heard have said that it's a bit shit.
Which is disappointing.
I heard about this last year and was wondering what was going on with it just the other day.......keep us posted.....
The pilot leaked a few weeks ago, so being a massive SFU fan I had to check it out. Like bungle said, it's really bad.
awww.
it's not really bad; it's just not at the same level as six feet under. it's entertaining, and there's so many boosies that you've really gotta wonder whether in the casting calls they just say 'show us yr assets' rather than get em to read for a part.
where's richie ramone?
I like this show!
But then again, I was one of the people who thought Six Feet Under tried too hard to be quirky...and I do like trashy television...so maybe that has something to do with it...
nothing wrong with liking it sukieD.
i've been enjoying it too (i'm up to episode 8)...aside from season 3 of dexter its the only show i'm really getting into at the moment.
for the record i've never watched six feet under or buffy.
I downloaded the first four or five episodes, I can't really be bothered getting any more. it's ok.
Has this show picked up at all?
do you like boobs?
Only on vampires..
Just started watching and yeah its a root fest. I quite enjoy it's trashiness and that it takes itself a bit less seriously then six feet. Some excellent side characters (Rene, lafayette etc..) Will keep watching for sure......
Also pretty weird that Anna Paquin got her start as holly hunter's daughter and is now exactly like her.....
got the first series a few days ago, watched the first four, loving it so far.
Hadn't seen Anna Paquin in anything since The Piano. Damn, when did she get so hot? And that Southern accent only makes it worse.....

I haven't watched this season at all. Can't be fucked downloading it.
Alan Ball signed my boob the other night though.
I am so over Sookie, and her precious fairy vagina, and unbelievably stupid name! Fuck Sookie!
I think this kind of show is better if you watch a whole bunch in a row.
The whole witch plot was pretty boring but the finale was ace.
Zeroman I have bedsores from the speedy consumption of all four seasons.
My issue with season 4 is that the actions of some of the established characters just didn't ring true. Maybe I just can't handle change.
Seriously though who would root lamo Eric? Evil Eric sure but lamo Eric was a dweeb!
Seconded.
Jessica! holy smokes
the actors kind of stood around looking a little unconvinced themselves this season. did they lose a bunch of screenwriters this season or something?
clearly a focus group said ''more jessica in her underpants please''
Yep pretty dull season; not enough ''holy crap!'' moments; they saved all of those for the last 20 minutes of the season. Anotonia seemed hard core and then wussed out. Sooie was a pain. Sam was boring. I was happy when Sam's brother died. The werewolves and Alcide sucked balls, the were-panthers were kinda funny for a minute. I cheered when Tara checked out. Wuss Eric made me want to drink bleach. The fairies turning out evil was cool, but over in the first 20 minutes. Hoyt was like watching Heartbreak High. The saviours of the series were generally Bill, Jessica and Jason. Andy on V was pretty funny.
Oh yeah, and Pam. Gash in a sundress. Bam.
I liked this season. Hoping next season involves a vampire war. Looks like some old characters will be back too, like Reverend Newland and Russel Edgington - they're some of my favs.
yeah that last 20 minutes of that last episode was a little weird.
I have a recording of the talk Alan Ball gave in Melbourne the other night if youse guise want a copy. It's not brilliant quality, but perfectly listenable.
Yes please!
I'll gmail it tonight.
yeah can i get one too, i wanted to go to that talk
I have a feeling there will be a video of the thing posted online sooner or later. Did you see the cameras?
I actually wasn't there, but the person that was taped it for me.
now this looks good.
