just thought i'd let everyone know that the 2fer #1 Record/Radio City disc is now at the Dirt Cheap at Wynard Station for $10.
i bought a few copies yesterday to give as gifts to people. you should too.

most people i know would already have it. but thanks for the heads up
thanks med, thats very genorous of you.
when my parents are dead I'm going to get "LX" tattooed into my arm.
Cool. I need my own copy of that.
Thanks for the heads up.
Does anybody else's copy of said CD have glitches? Mine freaks out on the last track, and the mp3 of Daisy Glaze is rooted every time I try to rip it . . .
am i missing a pun or something, but jose, why do you have to wait until your parents are dead before you get a tatsamatoo?
cultural reasons.
cause they wouldnt like to see him tattooed.
passage to heaven stuff?
more like holocaust stuff.
I have given this CD as a gift before, and I would do it again.
ah right, fair enough, in fact vrey fair enough.
oh sorry MM, rad rekkids
that's alright!
monty are you implying one of them should be a gift for yourself??
I will probably end up going back there to buy more copies. everyone should own it.
I think I shall track that down. I lost my copy in a move and have neglected to get a new one. excellent gift idea
oh, its not? harrumph.
waits for pm from med asking if i really meant that
hey MM will you buy me a gin tonight?
Beautiful album...only just discovered it. Who was it that covered "Thirteen"? Sounds familiar...

If you are a Big Star fan, and a fan of vinyl I cannot recommend highly enough the new 200gm pressings by 'Classic Records' of S/T and Radio City.
They're mastered direct (analogue) from the very original tapes and sound AMAZING. I've never heard the albums like this, so lush and dynamic.
So what's the definitive book about 'em?
The Story of Rock's Forgotten Band?
Big Star: The Short Life, Painful Death, and Unexpected Resurrection of the Kings of Power Pop?
#1 Record this morning soothed my soul.
Good ol M&N, reminding me what to listen to on the way to work on a Monday morning.
Does everyone skip ''India''? God I hate that song.
Can't stand 'India' either.
The one drawback of vinyl is you can't easily skip it!
I like India although it took about 15 years to come around to it.
I hope I don't enjoy it when I grow up.
I think you actually have to listen to it. By skipping it everytime you listen, you're missing out on opportunities to re-think your initial judgement.
Speaking of re-thinking your initial Big Star judgements, I gave Radio City a proper listen from beginning to end today, and while I still think its not in the same league as #1 and Third, I enjoyed it a lot more than I had previously.
I don't know what all the fuss about India Song is. It's not great, sure, but it ain't that bad.
Yes it is. Your opinion is wrong.
what's you're album called? does it have a song as good as india?
I have 3 albums, none of which have any song as good as 'mmm mmm mmm mmm' by the crash test dummies, but that doesn't stop that song being lame as fuck.
