Now thats a nice line up.. Clinton does some fantastic work as well! Might be about time for a sick day I'm thinking.

SGH  said about 5 years ago:

Bah, I went there last Wednesday, and it was full of fuckwits watching shit slideshows on the screen. That'll teach me to delete my PMs with the correct dates.

When's the CS/JKF release out? Soon yeah?

liamsnice  said about 5 years ago:

i saw justin the other day and it was great.

sum1  said about 5 years ago:

Mr Fuller is a crazy, crazy cat. Dig him, one and all.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

ah well shit we'd better not go to the gig then in case there's a slide show. Couldn't give a toss, as long as the guitars sound good thats what is important. I've asked Pete from Sweatlung a few times about the CS/JK split and he says before the end of the year. The live Ian Wadley disc is supposed to come out around the same time.

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

I think they may have been pushed back yet again SGH.. canna wait to hear the final results though.

Yes, JKFuller is one true genius.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

Chris Rainier is also playing too. He's been getting around town doing a lot of lapsteel guitar. Plays with Ollie Olsen sometimes as well.

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

I heard the same on the Wadley disc.. shall be a big end of year purchase me thinks

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

I was pissed that Chris's contribution to the Ivy Tree split was so brief. Bird Proof is one of his best tracks ever.

frigid star  said about 5 years ago:

Agreed, I had been hanging out for the FatCat release for a while and what do we get 15mins.. oh well.. Bird Proof is my second choise, Poseidon Adventure takes it for me.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

I'll be putting out a live split between Chris and Seth Rees soon, may also be some unreleased material on there as well, but at this stage the two guys are deciding what will end up on there.

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

so what's ian wadley's stuff like? i know he has a distinctive sound in bands but what's he doing on his own?

KillerKitty  said about 5 years ago:

noice

be interested to hear I.W stuff aswell

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

hmm, i heard some on myspace (and then, via links, from wadley's website and a project called 33.99, where some people recorded live to vinyl) ... not really anything that interests me any more. found it really boring.

i know i'm hardly one to talk, but i'm starting to feel like in a year or two there'll be way too many guitarists using loop pedals and cranking out fairly samey noodles. yes, i'm hardly one to talk.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

yeah thats probably true, but I'd rather there be loads of these types of guitarists than another 100 shitty pub rock bands that pretty much saturate the entire music world.

runoutgroove  said about 5 years ago:

you two kids both have good points. hopefully it will be taken in a few different directions by artists.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

I reckon its a good idea to ditch the looping pedals and play as much of the sounds as possible.

hardtop  said about 5 years ago:

i like bike pedals
sewing machine ones look good

fastcanoe  said about 5 years ago:

and that lovely electric egg beater styled device you had running at the afterdark hardtop!

hardtop  said about 5 years ago:

12" cake remix

fastcanoe  said about 5 years ago:

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

what did he have running, a cake mixer?

svelteslacks  said about 5 years ago:

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

i'd like to hear some of these ambient guitar loopy dudes go nuts once in awhile.. few minutes of niceness, then fuck it up with some SLUDGE that peels back the layers of your eyelids.. yep. people forget melody too at times.

Dreamland Recording  said about 5 years ago:

McGauz,

"Magwheels"does some very noisy guitar material using loops and some laptop manipulation. Check his stuff out here: http://myspace.com/lovedestroylove
