Work crushes

Gin  said about 5 years ago  or at  5:22PM on Monday, June 26 2006 in chat

Anyone ever had a crush on someone at work? How'd you get over it?

Inactivist  said about 5 years ago:

Shag 'em.

Digital  said about 5 years ago:

poprocks96  said about 5 years ago:

anok  said about 5 years ago:

mine left a couple of months back. it was sad, but for the best.

hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

isn't there an interview where you reveal your work crush (yourself) and consumnate it actually on undercover.com.au, Inny? i thought i saw one the other day.

wait, that was just the interview with sigur ros

chuckler  said about 5 years ago:

work affairs are fun ... working every day together with everyone around you none the wiser.

Coz  said about 5 years ago:

What's so wrong with shagging someone from your work anyway. It's only wrong if you have a bad breakup and start bringing personal issues into the workplace, surely?

pagey  said about 5 years ago:

alternatively, move in with them. you will hate them in no time. worked for me!

Inactivist  said about 5 years ago:

Yup, sorted everything out. No more sexual tension.

Digital  said about 5 years ago:

what did you do?

hiponion  said about 5 years ago:

Awesome.

Ed Craine  said about 5 years ago:

Bad idea. Avoid at all costs.

It will only lead to trouble, or marriage, which many would argue is the same thing.

How to get over it? - change jobs, go on a holiday, develop a life-threatening illness, adopt a baby or maybe find someone else.....

Gin  said about 5 years ago:

Isn't the tension part half the fun though? If it's over you won't have anyone to entertain you at work...

red menace  said about 5 years ago:

working with anyone for more than a couple of months turns me right off 'em.

too much knowledge

Gin  said about 5 years ago:

A baby? Why the fuck would anyone want that?

djbollocks  said about 5 years ago:

try to discover their flaws and then hone in on them.

Scientificsupercake  said about 5 years ago:

Bad idea.

don't get drunk with them. ever. on the roof.

Coz  said about 5 years ago:

On the roof? Ooh, that sounds romantic supercake!

I drew a loveheart on the froth of my workmate's coffee today. We were only mucking about though.

Gin  said about 5 years ago:

Hrm.....I'd rather not do that.......but I know you are right and it will make me dislike them....which would be far easier

The only person worth developing a work crush on at my work is myself.

I don't have tickets on myself or anything, it's just the standard here is pretty low. I look pretty good in comparison

losgauchos  said about 3 months ago:

TacoTacoTaco self love can be a very satisfying and rewarding pursuit. Prisoners, workers in Antartica or fire lookout stations, obese people and many others swear by it.

jimmy hutspah  said about 3 months ago:

Where does the term ''crush'' come from?

LoadMyRig  said about 3 months ago:

Meaning: To be in (what feels like) love
It's a distortion of the French word crèche, meaning 'crib.' To be 'in a crèche,' or to 'have one's own crèche,' in 17th century France, meant you were so smitten with love thatyou were as helpless and irresponsible as an infant, or were crib-bound

i'm too shy to start a chat crushes thread. can someone else do it?

charlesincharge  said about 3 months ago:

hey, they wouldn't call them crushes if they didn't hurt. - dj tanner's dad.

charlesincharge  said about 3 months ago:

oh fuck. dj tanner, who is kind of hot, is the sister of kirk cameron - the pedo one from growing pains.

lmc  said about 3 months ago:

DJ tanner's dad. Are you talking about Bob Saget?

charlesincharge  said about 3 months ago:

i'm talking about DJ Tanner's dad, Saget's character. I can't remember his name. I only remember Joey and Jesse. Although, come to think of it, it could have been Erkel that made the 'if they didn't hurt' quote.
