i saw it on oprah once and heard the story about it's life. can't remember it now though. perhaps born like that and adopted by a family who saved it from being destroyed.

she was born deformed and the family saved her as the mother dog was trying to basically kill her, knowing she was deformed.

i unsuccessfully tried to train my last dog to walk on it's hind legs. my idea was to rig up a latch on the front door so she could open the door and escort visitors down the hallway, upright.

should've chopped her front legs off...
