Does anyone know where I can purchase a seven inch record box in Melbourne?

make one?

versionsporadic  said about 3 years ago:

thanks for that, can you lend me some string?

HiltonBummer  said about 3 years ago:

Comic book stores. Storage boxes for comics are the perfect size for 7''s.

i really want one of these:

versionsporadic  said about 3 years ago:

holds 200 sevens

I have mine in a shoe box at the moment, i would't mind something nicer.

Central Station Records based in the old Au-Go-Go shop (is it Somerset Pl?). Hard black carboard with locks and reinforced corners, holds about 80 45s.

versionsporadic  said about 3 years ago:

good work, that'll do - any idea of cost?

mondotopless  said about 3 years ago:

how much ubu?

mondotopless  said about 3 years ago:

yeah, what that guy said

Woollen Kits  said about 3 years ago:

Ohhh... might check that out.

Coles bags work perfectly for 12'''s, if you can't find any crates and don't want your spines scuffed up.

Ubu  said about 3 years ago:

I think they were around $60-70. They are surprisingly shock proof.

I use a box from Ikea that's about the right size. Cost me $5 or something.

pking  said about 3 years ago:

least cost (and very practical option) is go to bunnings or a hardware. you can get plastic containers that perfectly fit 7''s.

i just went down to bunnings one day with a 7'' in hand and walked out with a stack of containers

pking  said about 3 years ago:

oh the bunnings containers i bought have handles too if you need to transport your 7's around.

jrb's ikea idea is good too. buying official 7'' holders is a massive wast of money

VelvetDogge  said about 3 years ago:

ikea had the most attractive ones i could find.

but lugging them to gigs on a tram is a pain in the arse, I want something that is designed for the job - and I'll waste my money anyway I want thank you very much

JRB  said about 3 years ago:

Oh, and there's boxes at Howard's Storage Price that are exactly the right size. A bit overpriced but them's the breaks.

polaroidsofandroids  said about 3 years ago:

i got given one as a gift.. which was purchased from Juno.co.uk

not sure about the value of money etc.. but i think they did a good deal on the shipping because the person who got it for me also bought a couple of records..

polaroidsofandroids  said about 3 years ago:

good for transporting .. but i would just get something from ikea etc as suggested if you just need them stored..

machina  said about 3 years ago:

http://www.juno.co.uk/merchandise/record-bags/ - cheap, good and juno's shipping is ace - will be here in 4-5 days...

versionsporadic  said about 3 years ago:

nothing is stock though

jake  said about 3 years ago:
