Yo Yo Yo, um, yeah.
'Why, why is this person posting on Mess + Noise?' 'well it's your fault for being part of the denizens of Australia's most popular bitch fest music discussion world, M+N. And hey, if it's any consolation to you to have to read another post from someone somewhere trying to whore their music to you, let's at least make this post entertaining'...
Let's talk business, I've got a nice plastic chair, a cheap suit, a disgusting mustache, a cigar and I'd you to check out this great band I'm in.. pause/record.. y'know that nervous moment when the record and pause button are pressed down and you're about to release the pause button, try and snatch some magic out of the damp air, cool moment, we live for it. Our noise is pretty free, yeah I like that 'pretty free'.
Look, we like you, we like many of the people who are here, and we think you'll dig our particular library of work (whoah, steady horse of dignity). Really this is hard for me, It's like throwing my heart against the wall and having it run down the wall only to be lapped up by some really ugly puppy, and then the walls are cardboard and they all sort of fold in around you like origami, making a really ugly origami puppy.
Anyway, I was hoping you could pop by our embodiment of evil page –
- try it, if you go there on your computer, you may feel pure evil pour into your hand and up your arm making it feel quite sore, but you can listen to some of our music - don't bother listening through your shitty laptop speakers tho, that's wrong - we are getting more intense and important and better than Mariah Carey every new noise we make.
love
Pause/Record
too witty didn't read it
too angular didn't read it.
Too Bad, you shoulda read it
nice work. if i could check out myspaz at work i would, but i can't so i won't. Good story, well told danna.
Or just click the link then come back here to criticize!
Bad link, didn't visit it.
...mate.. we got this exact same email... doesn't seem to hard to whore yourself! sounds like a load of bullshit to me!
That's a good point Frog - thanks for mentioning it!
Seems I spent up all my intelligence today thinking up the post and not concentratin' on the link.
Sorry BBW for hitting you up twice with it! And yeah, it is a load of bullshit! If I had a mustache it wouldn't be, but until I can grow one, well, it's all inaccurate!
well it worked on me. i checked out your myspace because of your almost-too-clever blurb but i really like what i'm hearing. tidal loop especially. where is this 'swarm' piece that the others mention? i'd like to hear that.
i still like the music
Thanks BBW - we (honestly) really don't like doing this sort of thing, so figured the ultra aggressive approach was better than shy and retiring, as hopefully it'd make people check it out, perhaps even out of spite. So yeah, all of the original post (at the top) is 100% shite.
Traffic Sounds - Thanks for yr comments - much appreciated. Swarm is Tidal Loop (renamed it a little while back), so yep, you've heard it! :-)
whaere is the link? ho hum...

Hope that works this time. If not, we're not worth checking out.

Fuck it - I give up!
hmmm let's try again
ok right, tidal loop is seriously great. i listened to that 3 times in a row. nice one! i don't mind shameless plugging, bands totally shit at promoting themselves are no better really.
I don't hate it. that's a good thing.
Thanks for sorting that link out for us! And thanks for the words.
Two new ''songs'' up should anyone be interested (?)
yeah, i like that tidal loop track.
Cheers Rog...
didn't i hear something about a release on sound&fury* sometime soon...?
Yeah ha, and we're damn excited about it Adam! We can't wait to work w/ you.
Another new track up on myspace if anyone needs some 1am music to put them to sleep!

pause/record is dead. long live mirrored silver sea!
the debut album from mirrored silver sea (formerly pause/record), continual ascension, will be out in october on sound&fury records. limited to 75 hand-numbered CD-R copies, it combines shoegazing ambience and glistening piano with distortion-drenched beats and noisy-as-hell guitar. in it, we've detected traces of everything from library tapes and liars to elegi and my bloody valentine. if you were listening to utility fog last night, you may have heard a couple of tracks. if not, you can check out flowers of eden right here.

bewdy, didn't know it was pause/record! :)
