As I said, I've noticed a general increasing trend, particularly in Newtown.
I was quite fucking baffled to read that there was a mugging on king street on friday night.
On. King. Street.
I have never heard of that happening ever before, not even in the nineties when things were a lot more fucked up.
Anyone else noticed?

King Street melbourne? New town isn't in Melbourne. That's in Sydney dude.
Or in Geelong, or Ipswich
Casio, maybe, just maybe, he's in Sydney.
You've started this thread before.
Dude's gotta go somewhere further than 5km from his house.
then why is he talking about king street in melbourne? seems like someone doesn't know where they are. Pick a town and be there.
Nope, haven't noticed.
email - Suck my cock you dozt tart. Re-posting for a reason.
Casiopias- Go fuck yourself. King Street Newtown in Sydney cockneck.
King Street NEwtown. Ahh.. so why were you confused? too much acid?
Stop being a fucking cockneck dickhead.
I apologise. But at least we know where you are talking about now!
Most people knew from the beginning.
oh..
I'm a bit dumb. Sorry.
You should be.
Sorry for anything.
Yet given the number of punch ups I've either seen or been involved in lately...hoi.
Things are going bug shit crazy mental.
Some guy said he wanted to crack my head open when I went to Redfern last week.
did u deserve it mailo? lol
How can you be surprised with violence when you react to criticism like you do, BA?
Mailolman - Ah, but that's redfern. Crazy town!
Nightfagsuck- Ahhh...go fuck yourself knobwrench. The subtle difference being cockneck, I don't go around throwing glasses at people, or picking fights for no reason, or getting in big groups of dudes and attacking bouncers for no reason and thinking I'm a legend.
Double lols for the guy who said ''I'll come back on monday and arrest you! I'm a senior constable!''
Funny really...
Thanks for answering my question so eloquently.
As you like knobwrench!
I walked from the city end of King st. down to enmore road late saturday night and I saw nothing violent...
phew, lucky for me, ay?
Don't be a cockwit davey.
ok...now that I think of it that busker in front of the NAB was playing a rather violent slide riff
overheard in ramallah:
''things are batshit violent aroun here these days.''
''at least, praise allah, we don't have to live in newtown.''
''werd.''
yes i agree...violence is definitely on the rise. violence that is random, unprovoked drug (meth) related and involves knifes, guns etc......
as opposed to the good old punch up over a sheila/game of footy or pool etc
kandos, you are a dickhead, but that is funny.
voidster- This is what I'm getting at. A guy got bottled at Kelly's because he asked a guy what he did for work. Massive punch up at kellys again over nothing, we got half dragged into it, which we didn't help by laughing at the dork faces, then whole bunch of guys went ape shit at the bouncers at the marlborough and other assorted madness.
Plus like I said.
I've never heard of a mugging on king street before.
I returned to my car to find a guy in the drivers seat trying to hotwire it at darlington the other day. After I yelled at him he got out and swore back at me then took off, didn't really get violent. If there was any situation where a criminal would be violent, I would imagine it would be at that point.
I think maybe its got alot more to do with timing and where you find yourself at certain times. If you put yourself in environments where it is more likely to occur you will notice it more IMHO.
.. sheila? shudder
why do you put full stops after each word in ''on. king. street.''
?
are you trying to be dramatic? because my personal opinion is that the full stop thing never really works, and is as internet-style-lame as ''lol''.
that lone question mark was pretty dramatic, willbarrow
very. true. davey.
Wire|Side - Oh, hey, I'm aware. The thing being is that it's not anywhere different. Kelly's for example has always been a place marked by a distinct lack of violence to me. Anyway, both the media and personal experience seems to bear this out.
Shit fuck, a guy said he was going to kill me at a party on Saturday night until I out monstered him. What the fuck was that all about?
willbarrow- As you like face features!
Who is this we you speak of Al?
as in wogs and poofters, pandamonium
lick my hole.
''lol'' is an unhealthy addiction, i dont even know i do it until i post it.
there should be a support group.
void - ha! you're funny.
rea- Try typing those extra two letters if you want a response cockneck.
I saw some dude punch out another dude in the football.
BA - seems to be increasing - well moreso in public places
some suss cunt tried to roll my missus a few weeks ago - he asked her the time then she noticed he was wearing a watch - then he used his body to block her path to get away - so she just yelled at the top of her lungs - get the fuck away from me - and he ran off
a mate of mine got smashed pretty badly by some randoms on his way home several months ago on king st at about 4am
what have you noticed?
Mo- Just same same actually. Definite rising tide. See, actual punch ups on king street used to be fairly uncommon. Now...not so much. I blame Zanzibar's new shitty nightclub.
As far as I'm concerned, that place has been dragging shit into Newtown for a really long time now.
I shit you not, I heard a guy say ''Hectic.'' Outside the zanzibar and he wasn't being sarcastic.
Plus lad fucks everywhere these days.
Which puts me in an awkward situation. What's worse? Crippling teenagers or letting them get away with being cunts?
A big drama outside the Amber Lounge on Lonsdale near the corner of Elizabeth last night - a stabbing apparently. Police and paramedics everywhere and they had the area taped off. Scary.
This is what I'm getting at. Shit is going crazy go nuts.
Mind you, it's still not as bad as the nineties.
Way more punch ups back then I'd say.
Crazy guy last night reminded me of this thread.
Fucking hell, people are going a bit fucking batshit lately.
