Discontinued food item nostalgia

I miss

  • Sparkling Liptonice. If this was still around I might not even drink beer.
  • the Calippo that came in the cup. The one in the tube is hard to eat without drooling it all over yourself.

That's about it, but i REALLY miss Sparkling Ice tea. I'm desperate. If anyone knows another brand... I'm clawing at the walls.

The floor is open....

paulie  said about 5 years ago:

that yoghurt that had the museli on top. not the double-ups. they were crap in comparison. what i'm talking about came in a regular yoghurt container, but with like a double-lid that contained toasted museli.

questionmark  said about 5 years ago:

I see skittles

  • Honey Nougat Magnum: I bought shitloads of 'em when i heard they were being booted. and then i was sick of them after about 4. and had 20 or so still in my freezer. my housemates were in heaven. now i miss em again

  • on the same theme, Homer Hudson Honey Malt Marbles tub icecream. Maltesers in honey icecream. Rockin'

  • Ruffles. Salt n Vinegar specifically, but any Ruffles would make me a happy camper

eep!  said about 5 years ago:

You can get the Reese's peanut butter cups at the corner shop near me...
tails, you in Sydney?

svelteslacks  said about 5 years ago:

norco thick chocs... frozen thickshakes. can't get them in melbourne. damn.

eep!  said about 5 years ago:

You can also get Ruffles at Coles - I had some a month or so ago. Before that they 'd been missing for years.

tonebender  said about 5 years ago:

TOOBS!

The roof of your mouth would be red-raw and possibly bleeding and yet they were good enough to compel you to keep eating. that's like salt AND sandpaper in a wound. Man I miss those things.

Salt and vinegar flavoured Nik-Naks!! OH YES!

anonymous  said about 5 years ago:

you can get toobs from vic market, and the richmond market on saturdays, theyre no name brand "bbq tubes" or some such, but taste the same.

They were sweet, gritty chocolate things, tiny.
And as JP says, you can still get them.

JunkiePhil  said about 2 years ago:

Check near the LCM's and other teeth rotting lunchbox snacks in a safeway or coles.

Urquhart Bluff  said about 2 years ago:

I miss Scorched Peanut Bars. Why did they ever stop making them? They were the best.

MrsGideon  said about 2 years ago:

The Sixties Nine! Best ice-cream related special edition evah!

MrsGideon  said about 2 years ago:

My favourite was the Candy Warhol with the multicoloured popping candy encased in the white chocolate coating. Nomnomnom.

JunkiePhil  said about 2 years ago:

Just read they sold so many of the 'Chockwork Orange' one, that they kept a Chocklate Orage one kick'n for a year after.
Doesn't help me now though, does it!?

louis  said about 2 years ago:

Feast icecreams! I forgot about them. They were great.

Urquhart Bluff  said about 2 years ago:

Scorched peanut Bar Ad from a clip show unfortunately with annoying laughs. Have a bit of respect.

Urquhart Bluff  said about 2 years ago:

Tarino orange drink. Saw one in an old Aussie 70s movie the other day. Awesome.

My dad used to LOVE that Callard & Bowser dessert nougat, Block.

MrsGideon  said about 2 years ago:

Does anyone remember the delicious seasonal foil-wrapped treats that were Creamy Mallow Santas? (See also Creamy Mallow Eggs at easter.) Best thing about Christmas, and no one seems to sell them anymore. Shameful.

Block  said about 2 years ago:

Years ago I found a shop that had a box of Dessert Nougat they couldn't shift, and which they were flogging off for 50c a pack.
I bought 12, and went back for more.

sharptooth  said about 2 years ago:

block, that dessert nougat packaging looks like some kind of 70's bathroom cleaning range

raven  said about 2 years ago:

Still Tangy BBQ CCs.
