brokeback mountain for me.
...september. I am shocked.
grizzly man
Gummo.
Haven't seen anything that would rate higher than a 7/10.
Haven't seen many, but would have to say X-men.
I liked Nightwatch.
brokeback is 2005...nightwatch is 2004...
this is why I was stuck.
otherwise, I would say "Squid and the Whale"
: )
2004?!?!
I'm so far behind the times.
I had to stop watching Nitghtwatch about 30 mins in, LP. lame-o.
You're the lame-o.
Do you stop reading a book five pages in too?
nope
No. Nightwatch is pretty shit. Although the final ending was kind of good. Especially the SPINESWORD!!!
and i think it was probably the only movie i've stopped watching in about.... my whole life. so yeah....
maybe i just wasn't in the mood that night.
Jarhead.
Sgt: "Why are you even in my beloved Marine corps?"
Pvt Swofford: "SIR! I GOT LOST ON THE WAY TO COLLEGE SIR!"
You're never in the mood anymore.
Probably Candy.
I saw the Magician on DVD on the weekend.
I haven't loved a film so much in ages. It's fucken excellent, everyone should get it out- tonight if possible.
I went through a phase of singing that 'cockadoodle doo' song from Gummo.
There was a great British film on SBS a few months ago called Love & Hate which I really enjoyed as well.
best so far (from memory): Hidden
worst so far (without a doubt): the chumscrubber. what a pile of arse that was.

bLOCK pARTY.
Just got it on DVD, and it really is a fun romp.
ha..
is advent children worth watching?
I hated her too, but the boyfriend she ditched at the beginning was even more of a cunt
That's true! I thought they suited each other actually.
More.
History Of Violence.
For the record, Nightwatch was shit with a REALLY shit middle ending. Only good bits were the spinesword, and which side the kid chooses.
Both of those were pretty rad.
i saw history of violence.
william hurt and viggo mortensen. holy crap. so good.
but i was a little letdown by it...could have just been that it was shorter than one would hope. and the ending reeked a little of "current film student."
Yep, Lord of War.
capote, candy and live and become
This year? Movie?
No idea.
They are all mostly absolute shite. I saw a good play recently though. It's finished now.
SUPERMAN RETURNS! AWESOME!
Thank You For Smoking.
I know it's not a 'new' movie at all but it's new to me! I just saw Fandango. Anyone else seen it? I loved it.
saw tristram shandy, good.
it was better than pirates of the carribean 2
which is the only other movie i've seen...
oh and jindabyne made me tense... but that was good.
actually i think i saw ice age two in feb.. that was good.
yeah that's it.
haven't been to any i have to say, but i did want to go and see C.R.A.Z.Y at the MIFF, but wasn't old enough to
looked interesting though, i spose that would be my fave so far though
big budget sux
I just found out Studio Ghibli have a new film out (in Japan) called Tales From Earthsea. I didn't know! I'm really excited. Anyone have any information?
The movie in my imagination after hearing the new Black Lips LP 'Let It Bloom'.
I really wanted to see 3 Burials
I liek Tristram Shandy
but yeah so far this year at the cinema have loved:
Lord of War
History of Violence
X-men 3
years not over yet though.
I saw Three Burials. 'Twas really good. Yuck but good. I had good company too.
i had to check that you weren't going to say Brick, mdma. hehe
aw i can't remember any movies from this year.
lord of war for the nicholas cage
i wish i'd seen Jarhead. I'm going to have to rent it, if i can ever get around to paying the massive fees i must now have at civic.
history of violence was really good (i dont think i'll ever stop referring to the throat stomping).
