One night years ago..probably 98' (it was a good 'weird arse year'..I was standing on this balcony of a dudes house rambling on about watching the stars and how if ya watch for a while you'll see a shooting star...and as I was saying this right in front of us this HUGE shooting star burst into view and shot across the sky..
guess I was right.
do you still call it a coincidence if its not strange?

I've had lots of bizarre coincidences happen lately. I think of something and a second later it occurs/i see it/hear it on the radio/hear someone mention it etc.
this one is stranger..
when I was 16, I had this bunch of mates and we used to do this thing...ya know get pissed hang around go from house to house anyway..we were at my house we just turned up about 1am we were quiet..it was a big house..and we could get in a side door down the back...and the girls said lets have a seance...and I was like yeah why not eh..we are all pissed..(sort of) half pissed and so I went out to the kitchen to get some paper and a pen and a pair of scissors..and I got the shit and I turned around and my mum was standing there..all sleepy..and like not really awake..cos they were asleep and she said 'your gonna have a seance aren't you?' and I said 'yeah' and she said 'don't' and turned and walked back the opposite direction to we we were all gathered down the other end of the house..
so I naturally freaked and walked back down to the room we were all in..and said..'lets not do this'..
last night i went out with 4 other people besides myself. There were two Catherines' and two Chris' in the group. Odd and amusing
This happens often - when I talk about my best mate who lives in Canberra to someone, I'll see a combination of the numbers 3, 9 and 7 somewhere around, on a number plate or a house number, etc.

i went home for lunch yesterday and ended up watching 20 minutes of mr destiny starring michael caine and john belushi.
and then today i was involved in two separate conversations. one concerning michael caine and the other about john belushi.

On the weekend I picked up Fear of Flying by Erica Jong at the Barwon Heads oppy - a score as I've always wanted to read it.
By chance I am actually flying somewhere tomorrow and shall start reading it on the plane. And I recalled September talking about reading it a while back and was looking for an in to bring it up with her on here.

Just now I needed to do a poo, but was wearing a shirt with quite a long tail, so I changed into a t shirt that was on the bedroom floor, which happened to be the one that came with my copy of Dagger Paths by Forest Swords.
Because our bathroom door doesn't close properly, I put the radio on whilst doing a poo so that people would know not to barge in.
And Forest Swords were playing on the radio, and I've never heard them on the radio before.
I'm having a wild Saturday night.
