I'm hungover and bored, amuse me goddamit!

Unfortunately I won't be able to list all of my purchases, as my long suffering partner would kill me to bits.

List 'em, and tell us a bit about them. Lists are sequesy!

does saturday count?

went to that "giant" cd sale at the exhibition buildings and got some stuff cheap.

blake3030  said about 5 years ago:

Only one so far. Although I will probably buy the Crayon Fields album tonight.

I got Comets On Fire 'Avatar' on vinyl. Already have a CD copy, but the vinyl was cheap and it looked good, plus the CD was a promo copy (barcode crossed out) so I felt guilty.

Ubu  said about 5 years ago:

Conquistador

Have you got this boner m?

It's my favourite of the Taylor albums I've got. The second track This Nearly Was Mine is my favourite Cecil ever.

boner m.  said about 2 years ago:

nah, i've heard but don't own any early taylor, which i should amend. i do have two from his free period; silent tongues and one too many salty swift and not goodbye. both are awesome, especially the latter.

i also saw him in nyc last year with tony oxley on drums, and it was one of the best gigs i've ever seen.

mondotopless said 2 days ago: awesome haul from trademe.co.nz

Have you had dramas using trademe? I tried to register a year or so back, then they wanted like a $100 deposit/sign up fee. There's always some pretty decent kiwi stuff on there.

Also think the threads dead when you open to view the other comments.

Compilations are the go for me at the moment though - more useful and versatile for stuff and things.

You pay for it in the quality though...

Drive By - THE NECKS
Picked this up for $1 at the Salvos as they assumed a 1 track CD would have to be a single. Nice! Loving it - rarely does a 1 hour track hold your interest the whole way

Feelin' (EP Box Set) - THE LA's
eBay score! Love the alternate version of Feelin' and I.O.U. Nice packaging too.

69 Love Songs - Magnetic Fields
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel

first time i'd heard eaither of theese albums (well aware of their reputations though) and i'm digging them.

There's some bullshit where you can't ask the sellers any questions unless you've got $10 in 'trademe credit' in your account. So I don't bother asking any questions until after I win the auction, and then find out if they can ship to australia. Fuck trademe for their shitty system, but thanks also to trademe for keeping international bidders away with their shitty system and thus keeping record prices low.
