I don't know, but the guy who played Darby Crash is touring as the singer of the Germs, now.
haha
you do know i was being serious, right?
yes - that makes it even funnier!
yeah and apparently that guy playing Darby was on ER wtf????
I saw don bolles in LA. he was wearing a jack daniels wife beater and a dr seuss hat. ppl who've seen them play say it's ridiculous.
It's out.
Darby Crash, singer of the Germs, the most outrageous band on the West Coast, died tragically in 1980 when he committed suicide. He ought to have become a celebrated rock icon but but his death was overshadowed by John Lennon's murder the next day. Now a film about his explosive life has been made and the cult group has re-formed.
Some linkage to a long article which is worth reading, even if only for this:
...enough of Crash's unhinged charisma survives in the performance of Shane West, last seen playing Dr Ray Barnett in ER, to have allowed the actor to be paid the ultimate compliment by the survivors of the band: West is now touring - as 'Shane Wreck' - with the re-formed Germs as a replacement for Crash.
No?
tmt review
You know, I reckon that poster pic is of Scott West, not Derby Crash. I reckon I've seen every photo ever taken of him, and that's not an image I've ever seen before.
