oh man! they totally came and got me too! they told me to drink with Mr Beam in my backyard, seeings it was such a lovely day n'all.

It's an Ekranoplan, the Soviet Union's answer to the Spruce Goose.
And yes, the Graphics are Jimmy Stacks' new band. They contain ex members of Caligula, Primary and a seminal Australian band that I'm not supposed to mention. And by seminal-Australian-band-that-I'm-not-supposed-to-mention I mean Indecent Obsession.

yeah baby.
thread killed.
While the rest of us were pondering their preposterous choice of name (will they get sued? But they would have looked into it first, yeah? But why?!), Telecom have been cooking up the sun-dried indie rock that makes up their debut EP, Modern Adventures. The first track Second Feature, is a deceptively lazy, You Am I-ish, cut; the remainder is much more angular and jangly, like if someone gave The Strokes a hug and told them it was okay to have a good time. You can smell the Melbourne on them a mile away, but Telecom has a friendly swagger, unfamiliar to many of their contemporaries.
Wow.
The business in this country is/was called "Telecom Australia". "Telecom" is a contraction of "Telecommunications".
Of course, I'm holding out for a judge to confirm that for me... and while he/she is at it, hopefully they can sort out New Zealand and the UK too (among others).
Where was that review from, empra?
"Telecom" is a contraction of "Telecommunications".
I thought that said contradiction, and I was going to totally agree with you.
It was from the Drum singles reviews.
Did we get single of the week?
Can you send me a clipping empra? For my scrapbook...
Oh, and does anyone actually know what the word, "angular" means as an adjective??
Our chords our weird. I'll give 'em that much.
You GUYS are weird........
I can indeed JJ. Consider it scrapped!
ps - PM me somewhere to send it?
There is nothing deceptive in our laziness. It is plainly there for all to see.
So was that a postive review? I really can't tell anymore.
positive except for the Melbourne bit I reckon.
What is Melbourne supposed to smell like? A combination of Rexona Dry and cheap aftershave? Because if that's what the reviewer meant then yes, we positively stink of Melbourne.
dank. deep, dark, dank.
I reckon everyone should buy a copy of the EP and decide for themselves.
but where's it available, devilwillsellout?
