RATATAT TOUR NOVEMBER

RATATAT - A CLASSIC ROAR

A CLASSIC ROAR...

The street tigers of instrumental dualism, jump straight out of Crown Heights, NY to stalk the wilds of Australia and New Zealand. After their eponymous 2004 debut ('a surprisingly buoyant thrash ... intensely pleasurable' Pitchfork), and its underground hit "Seventeen Years", Ratatat spent over a year touring in the USA with Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Mouse on Mars, the Stills, and the Killers. Now the duo Mike Stroud and Even "E*vax" Mast, return with their follow-up release, the impeccable '42 thrill-packed minutes' of "Classics" has hit the stage with renegade rhythms, torch wielding excursions into the instrumental wilderness all twisted through beats and plateaus, bestial monoliths, dark streets and late nights.

Now in full visual fury wear their classic roar in Australia/New Zealand

Awesome.

JScales  said about 5 years ago:

Nice. how much are tickets?

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

Fuck - what a weekend. Ratatat and Erase Errata back to back.

JScales  said about 5 years ago:

I was at Ding Dong the other night and they didn't know the ticket prices. And they wouldn't sell them to me. Annoying.

amanaplanac  said about 5 years ago:

Yes, such a shame it's at Dil Do Lounge.
A band I would really like to see but I refuse to give the owners of this cunt-of-a-place any of my money.

shunt  said about 5 years ago:

so is this band meant to be any good live?

i forgot they were playing TOMORROW NIGHT and was kinda looking forward to a quiet friday

shunt  said about 5 years ago:

reviews say yes. intuition says don't bother

blake3030  said about 5 years ago:

intuition wins out this time

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

my ears say... do you really want to hear noodly guitar-tronica that sounds like a poor man's telefon tel aviv? and my brain answers: meh.

"e*vax" probably says it all for me.. although if i'm feeling bored and adventurous and spendthrift (ie. three planets align!)... see you bitches there.

hyperfuzz  said about 5 years ago:

i think the dong tickets are $20. you can get them on moshtix.com.au

Kit  said about 5 years ago:

is there any way of finding out set time for Webel Webel? Their website hasn't been updated in a month and doesn’t tell you anyway. (if LeSnak or katzenjammer have a worksheet…)

shunt  said about 5 years ago:

they're the kinda band i'm prone to liking more "in theory" rather than actually just like, liking them. which, when you think about it, is not really liking them at all

so no go

poor man's telefon tel aviv? i don't hear it! if i did i'd be there in a second, rich or not

PunchDrunk  said about 5 years ago:

Anyone know what time they're on tonight? I'm in no rush to get there...

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

shunt - sorry.. when i said poor, i probably meant "completely and utterly destitute, confused, mostly deaf and whose only worldy possessions include some sort of bullshit guitar synth and an overblown reputation". :)

but that sounds bitchy. and i'm not!

poprocks96  said about 5 years ago:

anyone know if they are staying at the savoy ? i reckon i just saw them.

blake3030  said about 5 years ago:

you're going, PunchDrunk?

Who with?

shunt  said about 5 years ago:

were they pretty? they look pretty

poprocks96  said about 5 years ago:

not as pretty as you shunty. i am not even sure it was them.

blake3030  said about 5 years ago:

yeah? nah?

scissors  said about 5 years ago:

*WHICH ONES IS E*VAX* kekekekeke

shineslikerubies  said about 5 years ago:

saw them last night. LOVED them. such music for geeks, but really awesome. i normally do not get into music without lyrics, but i was captivated the whole time.

well wicked!

hyperfuzz  said about 5 years ago:

thought it was pretty good... although after wildcat, it got a bit samey, even though i knew all the songs...

wildcat went off, though. :D

jerrysoer  said about 5 years ago:

last night was great, i thought i was gonna get bored halfway but they made the best out of their limited material

mattlee  said about 5 years ago:

Anyone know the playing times for tonight?
