So i got my hands on this shit.
Dillinger doing Massive Attack, NIN, Soundgarden and Justin Timberlake.
Weirdly true to the originals.

It also contains their worst song "unretrofied" and a live recording of one of their good recent songs.
awesome!
Just watched the Miss Machine dvd's last night, including the footage from annandale.
Rad stuff.
I thought DEP stood for something illegal in some states. Continue.
There's Annandale footage? Shit must get on that.
Not a fan of unretrofied, its pretty gay. still i was left singing it after watching the dvd.
Saw them on Conan last night. They were playing one of their new songs, in the same vein as Unretrofied. Was weird. They were still doing their guitar acrobatics (spinning around the head, stabbing the air, etc), but the song wasn't terribly energetic. It sounded like a more boring Gyroscope. If I didn't know DEP, I don't think I would have looked twice.
And the only odd time they did was a tiny bit of 3/4. That's not the DEP I know and love(d).
I haven't listened to this band in yonks. They've had a lot of member changes since Calculating Infinity, haven't they?
Yep - singer, bass player & drummer.
conan
and guitarist due to injury i think
that video sucks, i want to punch them.
Wow, they're a NIN ripoff band now.

How did this news escape me till now?
i don't think i'll go. the roundhouse is an awful place to see a gig.
Yeah, I'll give it a miss. They're an amazing live act, but their new stuff's just not that good.
and there's one original member left; they're basically a different band now; like GnR if it was Slash instead of Axl.
except GnR with Slash instead of Axl might still be ok...
so might DEP live.. as long as you don't look at their new emo guitarist or stay in the room when they play that awful song.
