Im listening to ''The Radio Ham'' and ''The Blood Donor''.

He is like your really funny, Nihilist, racist grandpa after a couple of drinks.

Great stuff.

Racist? You think?

I'd pay snobbish, and class obsessed, and sexist in an old fashioned patronising way, though. But that was the character, not the man, who had a world of other issues going on.

Its 6am and I have lost my eloquence.

I have a lot of time for this kinda Goons-show comedy. Pre-monty python British lip-service stuff.

Block  said about 8 months ago:

I'd also pay hilarious, too, by the way.

I'm always vaguely surprised when I remember he died in Sydney. It was around the same time Marianne Faithfull had a go at dying in Sydney, wasn't it?

Bill Kerr is still around, he'd have some stories.

Love The Punch & Judy Man - great, weird, sad little film.

For me this bloke has pride of place with Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and the Goons in my old school comedy collection...such a great legacy.

Coincidental that this thread should appear - I was watching The Wrong Arm of the Law last night (written by Galton and Simpson) - Bill Kerr is in that as well, _v
