Further are keen to announce to the music world that they are releasing their 3rd record (titled ''Tactics'') through Chatterbox records on the 1st of March at the Hopetoun Htl and also celebrating their 10 year anniversary!!
10 years seems like a long time when you take the time to look back and see how much has changed, not just in appearances but also in the way we perceive things every day. Luckily there are some people that have the reliability and dedication to pursue projects through and beyond mere timeframes and perceptions. Bands like Further have a made a choice to hold something close to them, something they care about and something that others enjoy, share and have come to care about also.
** Further** are turning 10 years old as a band. And like any 10 year old they are bouncing with enthusiasm and fervor, enough anyway to release their 3rd full length record. This happening of a record has coincided with their 10 year anniversary of rock n roll and true mate ship.
The album is titled ''Tactics'' and is a blast of raw power supported by beds of melody, short snappy songs and riffs that never get overplayed. It is a once in a life time record for Further. Even though they have been an easily recognizable part of the Oz music scene for this last 10 year period, they haven't settled on any one thing for any great period of time. The only thing that remains constant is their dedication to their quality and awesomeness as a live band. Their records have always been and I imagine always will take us in a different direction each time and this is what keeps them doing what they do, doing what they love.
Further are releasing ''Tactics'' at the Hopetoun hotel (Sydney, Surry Hills) on the 1st of March 2008 whilst having a wild 10 year bash. The album is available for download via itunes store Australia and will be instores by the time they hit the stage on the 1st of March.
The line up includes: Talons and Sounds like Sunset.

This will be one of those gigs where you just dont know what to expect, it could be good or it could be unbelivable. One thing for sure is that Its just gonna leave you feeling better than before!
Further will perform songs from the new album + a few songs from all previous albums. (some of em they havent been played in 8 years or more!)

I just had a dream that I got sent a package with a special edition Gibson guitar and bass but it was just put in my mailbox by mistake as it was someone elses street number. Much mind agonising went down on whether I should keep them. I left them and an old man returned one to me then I flew to New York and watched sports in the clouds.
