'...so black, even the white bits were black...'

i was surprised to find a python-fancying friend unaware of the the boy's own wonders of the yarns.

place praise and criticism for the fact there were a couple of episodes too many, here and hereabouts.

I liked the one where the protagonist's family ran away from home because he was too boring.

Good on ya, monty....Tomkinson's School Days!!

My favourites are Roger of the Raj and Golden Gordon.

Palin at his very best.

''Howard Molson's got a new shovel. It's a lovely shovel, it's got a big brass handle!''

''Well, Eric, it's like this. There are some people in life who are...you know...interesting people - good company, fun to be with...the kind of people who, when you meet them on the street, your heart lifts and you say to yourself, 'Ah, there's old so and so! Isnt it grand to see him!' People who make you feel that life's worth living.......well, you're not one of them, Eric.''

Golden Gordon.. tearfully funny. Escape from Stalag Luft 112B isn't bad either. A glider!
