Trans Am

whosgotthecrack?  said about 4 years ago  or at  4:43PM on Friday, February 1 2008 in music

this is my second attempt to reroute the continued interest in trans am to a more general thread than this very good thread which has a title that relates to a specific album and is destined to date and confuse

i would also like to know if anyone has self-titled and surrender to the night on cd. i only have the vinyls and need digital audio for a project i'm working on... would be very grateful for a brief loan of the cds

michael_horse  said about 4 years ago:

while i don't have the cds, i do have them in digital form

is that good enough ?

kabukiboy  said about 4 years ago:

just had the self titled on ebay

djbollocks  said about 4 years ago:

Oh alright cracker i'll post in your thread then if it makes you happy.

Just scored me a ticket to their show on Saturday. Who else is going?

filterfeed  said about 4 years ago:

i've seen this band more times (5 or 6 times?) than most bands i really do like. i don't get it at all. then again, it was around the future world record. the music was fine, it's the other stuff that annoyed me.

michael_horse  said about 4 years ago:

coming on sat, flitter ?

i'm excited!!

earthsmoltencore  said about 4 years ago:

Seeing them at the Corner (around 2001 Futureworld tour) was one of the best rock shows I've ever seen. Loud as hell. Also excited...

Spunks!

beertickle  said about 4 years ago:

Futureworld tour was 1999. Which I saw 3 times and were...
1. holy fucking shit that was amazing
2. fuck me that was sooo fucking good
3. meh

Red Line tour end of 2000 saw once
1. that was terrible (however a fight between Seb and Phil that nearly resulted in punches thrown was quite entertaining)

TA tour in London was really good but I did enjoy these cheesiness in that album.

liberation tour with the fucking champs ruled my world.

JBR  said about 4 years ago:

can't wait for it! Top blokes.

Punch  said about 4 years ago:

I saw that show at the Corner as well - supported by Legends of Motorsport and opened by the White Stripes (yes, I turned up late) - and it remains the loudest show I have ever seen.

fastcanoe  said about 4 years ago:

Futureworld tour was awesome, at the Zoo from memory, front row centre, much jerking of the head.

JBR  said about 4 years ago:

Sydney tonight, all should come along.

scallywag  said about 4 years ago:

saw them yonks ago at the anno - drummer threw a mad tanty

do i need to see them again?

JBR  said about 4 years ago:

yes of course! They rule. It will rock, in a Kraut ish way of course....

JBR  said about 1 year ago:

one of the best bands ever. Awesome dudes, awesome band. Live shows are killer

TransientRandom  said about 1 year ago:

Seconded. Fun fact: Their drummer gave up a PhD in physics to play drums! (well, for them, and about sixty other bands). My heeeeero.
