mazzy star is lovely. among my swan is my favourite, then she hangs brightly, then tonight so i might see.

among my swan is like a nice fuzzy coma inducing listen in a good way.

What's your favourite song?

I like Halah the best.

aaaah yes, its a bit sad.

I like the first album more, its a bit more country and sweet.

angelic_layer  said about 5 years ago:

well thats the thing, and why I started the thread..I don't know enough about the history of the band or the records or what they are doing now or anything about her, anything..I just like it..obviously that hit I've loved for years, and hopefully I might learn some more...

I love she hangs brightly amongst others- have you listened to any warm inventions stuff?

I went to school with a girl who looked like Hope Sandoval, she was hott.

some of hope sandovals collaborations with jesus and mary chain are beautiful

dandan  said about 5 years ago:

google mazzy star and go to mazzy star boulevard, that's the best site i think.

They haven't done that many interviews.

Hope Sandoval has done stuff since i think its called Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions ?? or something.

Kemikal  said about 5 years ago:

Did they have a song on Empire Records or am I mistaken?

dandan  said about 5 years ago:

I don't think so, which song are you thinkin bout?

They had a song on Stealing Beauty soundtrack - Rhymes of an Hour.

pc  said about 5 years ago:

Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions have an album called Bavarian Fruit Bread. It's just as good as any of the Mazzy Star albums. My favorite song on it is On The Low.

dandan  said about 5 years ago:

I haven't heard any of Warm Inventions, ill have to get some!

scallywag  said about 5 years ago:

i love mazzy star but one thing that shits me about them is the over use of 3/4 timing.

anyhow. i've said that before...

TagoMago  said about 5 years ago:

I want a poster of the cover from their first album.

That'd look bitchin' on your wall.

fethehellcat  said about 5 years ago:

Nice bonking music, this is.

fethehellcat  said about 5 years ago:

mrb  said about 4 years ago:

Hope's version of butterfly mornings from Peckinpar's westen from the 70's in incredible. Really beautiful.

TagoMago  said about 4 years ago:

Fade Into You still hits the right buttons huh. Surely a three chord song shouldnt have such longevity?

goingblank  said about 8 months ago:

A friend just pointed out Into Dust soundtracks the new Gears of War trailer.

Odd.

mrmagoo  said about 7 months ago:

heard rumours for Primavera, hoping they are true!

untold/animals  said about 6 months ago:

Thanks. Sounds predictably gorgeous!

nyx  said about 6 months ago:

soothing end to a working day.

goingblank  said about 6 months ago:

Really nice. Common Burn sounds more in line with the Warm Inventions stuff, which is no bad thing.

untold/animals  said about 6 months ago:

Yeah, actually not super into the second track. Wah.

goingblank  said about 3 months ago:

Has anyone seen any stores in Australia stocking the Common Burn single?
