There be lots of good names in that list, how excitement.

nakedape for the golden wami!!!

Ohyeah  said about 4 years ago:

upsetting that Ben Franz isn't in the best bassist or producer categories

le_disco  said about 4 years ago:

Streetlight and Sugar Army are great

Mr. Mister  said about 4 years ago:

what a load. so predictable, almost the same shit every year. out of all those bands, there are a handful of 'interesting' ones: cease, kill devil hills, 11th, abbe may and snowman. shit like eskimo joe, gyroscope, birds of tokyo, little birdy, bank holidays, red jezebel - puhhleease! what the fuck is wrong with this city! support mediocrity! go wam!

whatwhat  said about 4 years ago:

what happened to red jezebel's deal with warners?

Gordon  said about 4 years ago:

That has some pretty good names all over it.

mcbaino  said about 4 years ago:

russiancaravan  said about 4 years ago:

Good lord, I think I was at one of Red Jezebel's earliest gigs. It was at the Grosvenor, almost ten years ago.

email  said about 4 years ago:

what about streetlight and schvendes Mr?

michael_horse  said about 4 years ago:

ms caravan: they played in the murdoch campus band comp in '97, if that helps

Mr. Mister  said about 4 years ago:

what about streetlight and schvendes Mr?

i dont see schvendes in the list. streetlight are in the same basket as sugar army - no one over the age of 30 will listen to them.
and what the fuck are the panics doing in there? they have been living in melbourne for the last couple of years.

email  said about 4 years ago:

well, they must be shit if no one over the age of 30 listens to them... they are the modern day tastemakers in this world.

there are multiple members of schvendes nominated in there.

astralwerkor  said about 4 years ago:

I think its quite a healthy list. Lets hope Abbe May wins best newcomer, because she is a fucking A-class act.

this is hilarious.

Mr. Mister  said about 3 years ago:

why is it always steph and marc's bands that win?

as far as i'm aware, the harlequin league are the only band that steph and marc are involved with that won anything.

drugshakehands  said about 3 years ago:

every award ceremony is corrupt. it helps bands if they're a nominee or winner, it adds another line to their bio or press release.

temporarybenbutler  said about 3 years ago:

About time there was some biff in this thread. Was far too much of a love-in.

Now, who got drunk on the night and smashed someone in the face/slept with someone they weren't supposed to?

Fewer lists of winners, more gossip please.

Shocking Display  said about 3 years ago:

Well I am sure Steph and Marc woulkd find it hilarious if they saw some of these comments. Especially the ''t appears that if you want to get anywhere in Perth you have to have those two managing you. If you don't, you may as well give up now. It's sad seeing awesome bands coming out of that city yet not getting anywhere'' part.

Imagine if those two actually read this thread.......what would they say?

NakedApe  said about 3 years ago:

''this is a disgrace''

whatwhat  said about 3 years ago:

oi, like tbb said nakedape - where's the sex / foight foight foight goss?? (preferably both involving the same people, please)

Mr. Mister  said about 3 years ago:

i heard the bass player from the panics gave that singer douche from birds of tokyo a BJ in the toilets.

NakedApe  said about 3 years ago:

Shocking Display  said about 3 years ago:

Yes, there is a limit to how much of this should be done in any given period of time...

drugshakehands  said about 3 years ago:

who is claire clarke? i saw a clip of hers on the wami video hits special yesterday, i don't think i've ever seen her play at a gig or listed on another gig.

NakedApe  said about 3 years ago:

she played with Vanessa Amorosi on Sat man, keep your finger on the pulse!

drugshakehands  said about 3 years ago:

yeah i googled her and now my head is shaking. i'm surprised she even got invited to the wami awards, she must be like a d-list perthonality.

NakedApe  said about 3 years ago:
