Paul McCartney

blacksalt  said about 5 years ago  or at  3:02PM on Thursday, August 31 2006 in music

I've just been trying to play along with some Beatles songs on the bass.

After all these years, why didn't I notice what a 4 string powerhouse the man was?

I'm sorry Macca.

Listen to Penny Lane. Then listen to it again.

Then listen to Hey Bulldog, and most of Revolver. Pretty damn good.

Sgt Peppers is a true Bass Tour De Force album as well.

Who is Paul McCartney?

Why am I still on here, despite the fact that I want to go home?

He was the guy from wings

PelicanGodOfJupiter  said about 5 years ago:

Who are Wings? I've never heard of them.

blacksalt!

paul is a powerhouse on bass! ...he never just played along with the guitar chord root notes.

he was all over the place!

check out Rain - was the B-Side to Paperback Writer - neither track appeared on Revolver but were released at the same time as that 1966 LP.

Rain is killer Mccartney bass.

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds has remarkable bass too....

Divorce case claims of violence, drugs and utterly bizarre

'Heather has alleged he beat her up, took drugs and stopped her breastfeeding their baby, saying they were hisbreasts

Paul McCartney has been accused of repeatedly assaulting his estranged wife Heather, in a series of bitter allegations marking the start of their acrimonious divorce proceedings.

Do you believe her?

nah.

A limerick:
There once was a miner named Heather
Who struck gold when a Beatle did bed her
Now she's ditching the glamour
Coz Maxwell's silver hammer
Ain't as good as coming together

medicineman  said about 5 years ago:

nah stumpy has always be untrustworthy.

Aye.

iamthewalrus  said about 5 years ago:

I used to be cruel to my woman I beat her

and kept her apart from the things that she loved

Man, I was mean but I'm changing my scene

and I'm doing the best that I can

I don't believe her though.

Shananana  said about 5 years ago:

I think its just another one of her little lies and it gets her in the papers..damn stumpy

Outta all the Beatles people Macca has aged the worse. I guess Lennon didn't really get a proper shot at ageing, Harrison still looked cool until the end, George Martin and Yoko are looking alright for oldies, and Ringo and Pete Best are still ok. I think Macca aged a lot when he was married to that hooker - and I think he had plastic surgery around then as well.

iamthewalrus  said about 2 years ago:

Macca's had some botox, definitely.

Mo  said about 2 years ago:

definitely botox

I have the first Fireman album and have heard a lot of good about the latest one. I am still greatly enjoying Back to the Egg though. Could it be the best Wings album? (yes).

McCartney To Marry A Third Time

She seems genuinely lovely but ...er, this time round Paul, do a bloody pre-nup!

untold/animals  said about 1 year ago:

Gosh, what a dumb bitch. She seems okay though.

Name of new album: Kisses on the Bottom

heard a track from it...pretty, pretty, pretty good

bamesjaker  said about 4 months ago:

Not sure if/when he'll come out to Australia again, but his recent setlists (example here) are to die for.

columbo  said about 4 months ago:

the track i heard sounds a bit like something Harry Connick Jr might do

untold/animals  said about 3 months ago:

What the fuck idiot.

losgauchos  said about 3 months ago:

The dude is getting some serious botox/air brushing these days. Why not just grow old gracefully like Ringo? I can see why George thought he was such a dick.

slothman  said about 3 months ago:

watched the george harrison doco recently. my favourite bit was when george said that fame hadn't altered their images ''because it's just ouz. well, for me and [Ringo], i don't know about the other two.''

The_Tupelo_Flash  said about 3 months ago:

...the funniest bit was when George said ''so I started to write songs because I thought if those two can do it (Lennon & McCartney) anyone could!''...

slothman  said about 3 months ago:

yeah. that was a good one
