Today my iPod is serving up alot of Birthday Party and some Die Haut/Nick Cave. everything else is more angry guitar rock. this is out of a huge random songlist.
so... how's your Pod feeling?
AC/DC now... so its Aussie and angry

i don't own an iPod
I have a shuffle, but it is more about what I like as I rarely put shuffle on. I think I might replace Busdriver and El-P with GZA, Burial and Boards of Canada.
nas - i gave you power right now.
shuffle can be good, but today i need to control the vibe.
I have a CD player that can play mp3 CDs on random.
I haven't listened to it today.
In fact, I was wearing while walking around yesterday, and found it disorienting.
BRMC. and LOUD
My iPod is liking The Who at the moment.
Actually, it doesn't really have a say in what it likes.
mine is fucking obsessed with Stereolab
problem is, i'm not.
The new Black Mountain album. FUCKING TOPS
Japancakes and Stereolab also!
i'm not putting Stereolab on my new iPod. no siree
Tim Rogers.
The big question is, why load music you don't like on your iPod in the first place?
i've got plenty of stuff on my ipod that i like a bit, but i don't love, or i really have to be in the right mood for, or there's a crappy song on a great album and i don't get rid of it...
i skip a lot when i hit shuffle.
I also have plenty of stuff on my iPod I don't particularly like.
mbv - loveless. following the los campesinos album, which i don't particularly like i've decided.
i use shuffle to decide what i'm in the mood for, it finds something i forget i have, then i go and listen to the whole album
i also find this bewildering.
the shuffle should not be an option. it is the reason why i think the ipod, although a handy harddrive device that stops me breaking my back by lugging cds, it is the devil's tool.
also, anonymous put a bunch of stuff on there he thought i'd like. he has a pretty good strike rate with this stuff, but some of it i should really delete.
i hate it when you hit shuffle and the first track is a 40 min Phil Niblock drone piece
i also find this bewildering.
Well, you know, you put stuff on there at other people's places or you put some records to review on there, etc, etc. It adds up.

what about the concept of a single, which was the norm in pop music until the 60s? there's alot of artists (Motown, early rock, early pop, probably some dance) thats better scattered through a collection then just listened to straight
You can rate them on the go but not delete them? What if the file is faulty? I'd still say it's a stupid machine that can't delete things without being attached to a bigger machine.
If the file is faulty then you skip it
and yes, it is a stupid machine... its meant to listen to your music and watch your videos on the go. Its very good at that
why yes yes i am.
If it's so good at that, why did Choice give the whole iPod range a shonky award last year?
I bet you're the kind of guy who puts a non working ballpoint pen back in the drawer you found it, just to fuck you up later, ain't ya?
Why?
because panpipes are soo 1977
i shuffle my 8 track cartridges like cards.
lots of HEALTH today. But on a Creative Zen, not Ipod.
Arcade Fire, TV on the Radio, Boy Least Likely To, more Arcade Fire... mmmm stereotypical indie from 2 years ago
mine played two Black Moth Super Rainbow songs and tried to pull a Birchville Cat Motel 20min epic before I took the reins...
nothing, because i left it at home =[
'Thoughtful pop' playlist, including: Barrage, Guther, Love is All, The Sundays, Caribou, Broadcast, and so on.
i need to make playlists for my new ipod.
half the stuff i used to have i have to load back on, which is a laborious task. especially when you want stuff like the whole Magnetic Fields back catalogue.
Ha!
I've never owned an iPod; I'm just borrowing my sister's. It's kind of nice to have, but I can live without it.
my Pod is feeling old... Clapton, Van Morrison, Monster Magnet....
pod is clever today. Baseball Furies - Johnny Casino - The Who - Nina Simone. great progression
Last night was Sweep The Leg Johnny.
stax and nuggets amazingly.
