Mel Lake, one of the best dudes that ever existed, is up for some Woman of the Year award.
There are three finalists - Mel, Patience from the Grates and Missy Higgins.
Serious, does missy really need another award? And does Patience really need anything? The answer is no.
Mel is the NSW promotions manager for Remote Control/Dot Dash, manages the Tucker B's, used to run Quietly Suburban, once did a whole swag of good work for Modular and makes a mean loaf of bread.
She deserves to win this! She deserves all the free shampoo or whatever it is!
