that's fucked
it's a good photo too
might make it my profile photo
that's better
heavy metal is evil and a bit gay I think
It didn't work for me, Ken. Must be in your cache.
just delete this whole thread, danny.
Lars urlich ahs been known to wear pink clogs and lycra. That is the only good thing about the band
That pic is the thing that clearly should not be.
Fuckin links!
Use this to play your Metallica Bootlegs

listening to master now fuck its GOOD
yep, they had their moments, for sure....Seek And Destroy is pretty much the shit for mine...
I watched some kind of monster last night - these guys who I loved up until the black record, came across as the biggest bunch of rich pussies ever. group therapy, working 4 hours a day, talking in a way that rationalises everything they do.. "im feeling anger towards you." "i'm feeling that you are angry, and that validates my shame spiral." etc.
throughout the entire film, i think i uttered "fuck up sook" about 20 times.
The whole film is full of high order sookery.
They have well and truly lost touch with reality...that happened just after the Black album.
while they might suck now
however
theyve released 5 of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time
Very true, Mo.
This is why I wear a Metallica t-shirt with pride.
lars is the biggest wanker in the band, followed by hetfield - but it was entertaining to watch these two guys struggle for the power to control "my band". and lars sold was it 39 million worth of artwork? fucking hell, lucky he sued napster - he was almost broke!

I would have said getting rid of Bob Rock as producer was the best thing they have done.
Lots of bands say that dazmurray, what's so bad about bob rock?
Old rich men being bored.
They're all off the planet but really likeable. Even Lars. When he confronted the therapist and was being a smart arse to him saying 'i guess you'll be playing drums for the band soon' was gold. he always looked coked up. Kirk is so fucking cool, he's massively gay, has plugs and speaks like the waterboy but is still cool. I love it when he cracks the shits because they won't let him solo.
Well nothing personally. There is a widely held opinion that Metallica's worst material has coincided with Rock at the helm, and I tend to agree with it. And I'm including Black in this list - I hate that record, despite it selling billions of copies.
Lol waterboy
i completely disagree
they hired Bob Rock after hearing Motley's Dr Feelgood
they were already writing shorter, less intricate music
they were trying to write music that would sound good in a stadium
Bob Rock was the man they chose to do that, he didn't make them like that, Lars and James wanted that, he provided
i've seen this movie a bunch but until last night never noticed how hurt Bob Rock looked when James didn't include him in the ''friends'' group but rather in the ''industry'' group when he called Kirk from rehab.
The best bit was when Hetfield was singing like her her her ..witchy lyrics to his crap metal riffs in the studio and Lars was laughing. Summed it all up really.
Mo - I'm not saying Bob was the root cause of any problems, only pointing out that there is a correlation, in my view.
I remember seeing it at the cinema. Half of the audience were hardcore fans who didn't see any of it as being funny. This is serious man! But I giggled all the way through it.
I re-visited Load a while back and enjoyed it although I wrote it off at the time. They were trying to make a 90s sounding guitar record, and kinda got there. I'm not sure what Re-Load was all about....should have been an EP.
Load, Reload.. Shoulda been a James side project.
A new 3D movie is on the way: http://www.metallica.com/news/20120307-649181.asp
