Anyone seen "ladies and Gentleman the Rolling Stones"?
how fuckking great is it!! even if most of the camera time is centerd on Mick..
Why don't the Stones do a comprehensive anthology like treatment???

Mick Jagger should become a long distance runner.
i'd like entire camera time on keef, brian and charlie thank you
mick is a waste of space
my grandpa went to see the strolling stones when they played in sydney back in the ancient times
Seen it a couple of times. Culled footage from Cocksucker Blues, I believe.
It used to be available at a lot of local video shops when I was at high school.
Marquee Club in 71 is great too. The full Bobby Keys horn section an' all.
The stage is a little too small for Mick though.
An Anthology would be great, but I can't see it happening somehow.
Agreed, mm - a Stones 'Anthology' is long overdue. I was talking to Mark Redletter the other day and he says he saw an interview with Mick at the time of the 40 Licks tours and he mentioned how much the Stones all loved the Beatles' Anthology and that the wheels were in motion for their own. C'mon Mick - surely you'll make a mint from this (which is your no. 1 goal these days, innit?)!!!
And mm, I would love a copy of 'Ladies and Gentlemen'. I'm trying very hard to track down my copy of that Stills bootleg DVD for ya!
Dan - well I actually have a copy for you.. i've just been a slack arse and haven't sent it - it was meant to be a surprise B'Day gift.. but oh well... i'll get to it this week so you shall have it soon.
I must admit that I really have never been into the stones all that much...
Until recently.. I can't stop listening to them.. fucking unreal little group..
Fuck yeah!!!
Paint it Black is genius
that mid 60's singles run is incredible....like ten great singles in a row over like maybe 18 months...prolific and wild.
has anyone got live licks??
i mean its pretty average - certainly no get yer yayas out
HOWEVER have u guys heard sheryl crow sing on honky tonk women
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Keith Richards Could Be Fined For Smoking
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards could face a £50 fine after flouting the new anti-smoking laws that adorn Scotland's public places.
During a recent Stones show in Hamden Park in Scotland, an outdoor venue, Richards, true to his form, allegedly lit up numerous times throughout the two hour performance.
Anti-smoking groups and smoker's rights groups have leapt at the opportunity to scream and shout their sides of the argument and anti-smoking groups and smoker's rights groups all ended up looking stupid.
Meanwhile, Keith Richards is crying himself to sleep every night over his inevitable financial ruin and everyone inhaled a few bus fumes on the way home.
Also, yer mo, I got Live Licks. Sheryl doing Honky Tonk Woman is great and also the chick who sings on 'Gimme Shelter' is pretty farken amazing too.

Rolling Stones reunite with Bill Wyman in the studio
PJ Harvey also features on 'Boogie For Stu' tribute album
January 4, 2011 | 0 Comments
The Rolling Stones have reunited with their former bassist Bill Wyman to record a tribute song in honour of their late pianist Ian Stewart.
The song, a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Watching The River Flow', is set to be included on a tribute album for Stewart, who died of a heart attack in 1985. He had played and recorded with the band since their inception in 1962.
Fansite Iorr.org reports that the Dylan cover features ''all Rolling Stones members including Bill Wyman''. Original member Wyman left The Rolling Stones in 1992.
The album, which is called 'Boogie For Stu', has been helmed by pianist Ben Waters. It also features a contribution from his cousin, PJ Harvey, reports Spinnermusic.co.uk.
Waters has previously confirmed that Keith Richards plays on three tracks on the album, which is out in March.
Recently downloaded a DVD of the '75 LA Forum show. Mick is clearly wired out of his tiny head, and Keef can barely stand up (and forgets to sing in ''Happy''). Needless to say, they are magnificent.
If you could point me in the direction where I may find said DVD Meatloaf, it would be much appreciated!
(maybe a PM if it's not ok to do so here...)
here's a version of gimme shelter from that show

Awesome...smokin' guitar. Was 'Ladies and Gentlemen' ever released on vinyl and is this forum show floating around on bootleg?
Pretty sure the DVD of the Forum show is at Mojo in Sydney.

This is gonna be awesome, the pinnacle of Keith and Ronnie's 'weaving'!
Somethings brewing, they guys met for the first time in ages yesterday.

I'm listening to the bootleg of their 1973 evening show in Perth. They really were in good form. The slower, more ragged live version of You Can't Always Get What You Want will always be superior to the studio version with all that extraneous percussion.
Charlie, Keith and Ron are rehearsing for the first time in ages later this month, possibly gearing up for a fiftieth anniversary tour?
Apparently Keith and Ron are keen but Charlie ''said he wasn't bothered either way.'' Legend.
Go Charlie.
Good grief.
Live in Texas is fucking epic...anyone picked this up yet?
50 years ago yesterday.
