Strangely, despite the fact that my tonsils are the size of golf balls, my throat doesn't actually hurt. Mostly I'm just struggling to stay awake and am all blocked up.

just back from the doctor... i have Cryptococcosis... a pigeon related infection. if left untreated, apparently you can die. which is pretty serious i guess.

i reckon that's why i've been feeling crapper and crapper as the days passed.

Crap! Apparently two people from my lab are in hospital with pneumonia, a further two are ill but we're not sure what with yet. I saw one of them yesterday just before he went home sick, he was terribly pale and shaking. I'm really worried for all of them.

being sick is horrible. this is the first time i have had a serious tummy bug in about 9 years, and it bites. i can not be sick either, so while i reckon this might have passed quickly if i could be, now i just think it is going to linger. feeling too crappy to get out of bed. this bites.
