yep.. it's not bad. Some tracks grate on me, but maybe they just need more listens, the first two get better and better with every listen.. That flamenco styled guitar on track one is rad.

i will reiterate my appreciation for the crazy horns in this new thread. it definitely is a grower and all the different things going on in the album make more sense after a while

yeah, a couple of things grate me as well. mainly his lyrics. he has some really bloody corny lyrics. but most of it i'm loving.

I really didn't like it when I first heard it. After about 10 listens I'm liking it a lot more. I fucking hate the horns, to be 100% honest. But I hated the cello on the last record. So much of that stuff just sounds to me like fixing problems by chucking something else in there. I understand they've got to try new things to keep it moving forward but...yeah, I don't know if a horn section is the answer.

I like Bad Sects and Big Bang and the last song.

I really hope they tour. I've seen them once, while overseas (for Domestica) and they were great.

not a bad album.

looks like a little bit of woodwind has snuck into it in place of the strings and brass from the previous 2 albums.

I haven't felt any desire to listen to Cursive for about 4 years but am really enjoying maybe half of the new album. I feel like an angsty 17 year old again, it's great!

i've given it 3. no real 'good' standout songs for me yet.
