they've fixed the place up a bit apparently, psych. and the ground control pool bar has been done away with, so there are many less subaru wr-x's parked in the immediate vicinity.

they took some of the dank out, which bites.. but they didn't renovate it in a completely tasteful sydney way.. so thats a plus..

Been two or three times for Band Wagon (Shaun's review of GoT there is on M+N now). The bandroom's good - lots of places to dance or sit. When its full its great, though lately its felt a bit empty. There's also a weird contrast between the band area and the rest of the pub - it dosen't really feel like a venue the way the Hoey or the Annandale do.

It was much more fun when it was just a local with great music, rather than a hip hangout for hipsters.

Doubt it will kick on as a great venue for anything but Jazz/country.

It's a bit of an old man/gambling pub during the day. It's not bad as a venue though. The beer garden is open till heaps late.

Tis a good place to hang out. Midnight thursday imrov jazz and free dinner, hits the spot everytime.

I like it cos they pay guarantees. It has a decent sized stage too.
