Reverb  said about 4 years ago:

hmm.
better?

boyleastlikelyto  said about 4 years ago:

Well the 'as seen on skins' won't get me moving, but I have only heard two songs from these guys, but it sounds pretty good.

Remind a bit of Q And Nout U. And that can only be a good thing.

Reverb  said about 4 years ago:

Skins is excellent drama.

but yeah, ace band.

whatwhat  said about 4 years ago:

finally got around to hearing these dudes. it's all a bit meh, until i heard ''balloons''. that song has got it going on.

they must think the album is red-hot to not put any of the singles on it.

whale  said about 4 years ago:

this band is the best thing i've heard in months and months. Not only this, but they like good MOVIES and they and i both are obsessed with steve reich. I think i'm falling in love

astralwerkor  said about 4 years ago:

If whale likes it, maybe I should give it another go, because it didn't catch my attention at all the first time.

whale  said about 4 years ago:

oh what the fuck!? this is exactly the type of stuff you like! listen to balloons

HEB  said about 4 years ago:

Big feature in The Independent yesterday

Like them, or hate them, they're going to be bloody hard to avoid this year

whatwhat  said about 4 years ago:

and back-lash in the guardian (also back-lash against adele, whose album sounds as boring as fuck - pretty voice, but where are the songs?)

whale  said about 4 years ago:

math rock!

astralwerkor  said about 4 years ago:

They're ok. But a little too conventional for my liking. Conventional in a math-rock way, if you will.

whale  said about 4 years ago:

WHAT!??!?!?? but it has vocals and is catchy and more dance punk than math rock

astralwerkor  said about 4 years ago:

Yeah, and thats the prob. Its conventionally math-rock in some parts, then transforms into boring dance-punk too.

whale  said about 4 years ago:

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

i don't think i can take it! this is like, the first time i've liked something you havn't!!

astralwerkor  said about 4 years ago:

Haha, rejection is difficult whale, but only in rare cases is it fatal. You'll surely recover!

whale  said about 4 years ago:

i'm seriously in tears

Reverb  said about 4 years ago:

Good article WhatWhat. Finally. an NME journalist has written something i agree with

whatwhat  said about 4 years ago:

i'm liking everything about this album except for the vocals.

whale  said about 4 years ago:

that's a complaint that crops up a lot about foals

whatwhat  said about 4 years ago:

they're just not very good.

this:

didn't think the first one was much chop either

and this:

They found some space in their songs and ... greatness.

prince  said about 1 year ago:

this gig was amazing last night. The encore of The french Open and Two Steps Twice was fantastic especially when the lead guy went up through the crowd and up the balcony of the hi fi before the break down in two steps twice...

gabbo  said about 1 year ago:

yeah, i got onto the album after tix sold out.

will have to queue up for their next tour.

ill  said about 1 year ago:

NiteShok  said about 1 year ago:

Thanks. I always seem to miss the bands I like (jonsi, foals, etc), and catch the bands I don't like as much (cypress hill, art brut).

Can't coordinate shit.

kuroneko  said about 1 year ago:

I'm an idiot for missing this tour. Been listening to 'Total Life Forever' all week. I think I played it three times at work yesterday.

couldn't agree more. I cannot get enough of it.

gabbo  said about 1 year ago:

show announced for Thurs Feb 10th in melb at the Palace.

won't miss this one!

NiteShok  said about 1 year ago:

Interviewing Yannis (singer/guitarist) tomorrow. Fairly excited as this is still one of my fave albums of 2010. Any questions for him?

gabbo  said about 1 year ago:

why do they keep playing in Melbourne on the same nights as Yeasayer? Haterz?

kuroneko  said about 1 year ago:

I have a ticket and am ludicrously eager for the Foals show this Thursday night. How were the Laneway sets?

Velodrone  said about 1 year ago:

Need more Sweep The Leg Johnny

NiteShok  said about 1 year ago:

Laneway set in Brisbane very very similar to the Splendour 2010 set. A friend went to the sideshow in Byron last Wednesday and said they played a mixed bag there, including 'The French Open' as the final encore, which would have ruled (and did, according to him).

Sunnyboyz  said about 1 year ago:

how long does a foals set go for?

kuroneko  said about 1 year ago:

Foals 10.15 -?
Last Dinosaurs 8.45 - 9.30

I don't know anything about Last Dinosaurs. Worth seeing? I could really do with a snooze before heading out to this tonight.

Sunnyboyz  said about 1 year ago:

yeh, i have to drive out to frankston after the show... and im wondering how late i'm going to be up tonight.

ill guess about an hour long set... so i should be able to make it to frankston by midnight. im gonna be sleepy tomorrow.

kuroneko  said about 12 months ago:

Well that was fricken excellent. I felt old for about ten minutes then I just got over it and danced like a spazmatron.

Sunnyboyz  said about 12 months ago:

I went to their Hifi show last year and I think I liked that one more than tonights gig. It was good tho, spanish sahara was fantastic.

jhf92  said about 12 months ago:

first headline show i've been to, loved it. better than splendour and laneway. can't believe what remains and hummer got a run. and 2 trees (semi-rarely played live). amazing set!
