SOCKS IS BLOODY FULL OF HERSELF. GIF THIS, GIF THAT. I'D LIKE TO SEE HER CREATE SOMETHING REAL, LIKE A BLOODY HOUSE. A LOT OF WORK GOES INTO BUILDING A BLOODY HOUSE. NOT MUCH WORK GOES INTO A GIF. FUCKING SOOKY WHINGER. WOT THE FUCK IS IT WITH YOU CUNCE DEDICATING THREADS TO HER? CHARLES, YOU ARE ONE BLOODY IDIOT.

Dave From NC  said about 1 year ago:

Charles is incapable of writing more than one sentence because his arterial blockage (which causes his hatred to spew forth inarticulately) also inhibits his ability to make any valid point without using the word 'cunt', 'loser' or any base form of abuse. I challenge you Charles, or is it pea brain, to actually write A PARAGRAPH, without any swearing or threats, and try and coherantly form an argument.

You see, Charles has some very serious emotional or even psychiatric issues which probably need urgent medical attention. With proper care and years of counselling and anti-psychotic medication, he may well be able to function as a semi productive member of society. In hyis present state, he is a dangerous semi psychotic menace, and it would be wise to encourage his rants. It is fortunate that he cannot string more than a few words together. I propose a banding together all Charles haters to drive him away from the site, so he can go back to watching cartoons in his mother's basement.

hey socks

socks  said about 1 year ago:

Hi shaun. How are you?

shaun  said about 1 year ago:

good socks. I'm listening to the new Fiery Furnaces album. I haven't loved them this much since 2004. If I didn't love them this much, I might be in bed right now. You?

socks  said about 1 year ago:

Well, I keep wanting to listen to Widow City - but I only have it on my work computer. For some reason, I lost it on my own computer when clearing out hard drive space last month. It's a bit sad, but I've been trying to substitute it with EP and Gallowsbird's Bark, as I also sent Bitter Tea packing by accident, and I never got into Blueberry Boat at all (bar one or two things)... and Rehearsing My Choir just doesn't reflect my mood right now. Though I struggle to think of any moment when dramatisations of a Greek grandmother have ever reflected my 'mood'.

I'm desperately searching for music that's nourishing - the stuff that just makes you feel good when you fear the world around you is endlessly terrible. I'm trying to listen to Pet Sounds right now, but it's making me cry, sweet as it is. I'm somewhat at a loss, then; but I don't much feel like sleeping, despite the poor fill of slumber I achieved last night.

socks  said about 1 year ago:

...I remember driving around in the heat with one of my best friends/housemates, singing along to Gallowsbird's Bark, and dancing in the car. Cruising through whichever streets at whatever time of night. Singing lines at one another across the house, and - one having heard the other playing the record in their bedroom - surprising each other by syncing up the tunes from an adjacent room. Those memories kind of encapsulate what's so great about music, and what makes life seem like a nice dream sometimes. And we listened to Matmos' remix of Erase Errata's 'Other Animals', its bassline almost offensively rubbery, so loud without caring who it annoyed. I once had a dream, so I packed up and moved to the city.

shaun  said about 1 year ago:

I'm surprised you don't like Blueberry Boat. That's the album that convinced me, though Gallowsbird's Bark is fantastic in its own right. Enjoying a Fierys album post-Gallowsbirds is always an investment. A lot of effort. Rehearsing My Choir was always too much effort - most people would concede to that.

If Pet Sounds doesn't work, try 69 Love Songs. If that doesn't work, I can't suggest anything else. You're on your own, 'fraid to say. That album always has at least a small handful of songs that can guide you through any given situation. If it's the lyrics that you can't digest, for an early Sunday morning I'd recommend Eluvium. I just put that on and I'm feeling right at home.

I like to take my shoes off at any available opportunity... but when I do, I always prefer to take off my socks as well

socks  said about 1 year ago:

I think Blueberry Boat initially caught me off guard, at a time when I wasn't ready to give them a chance for such a drastic prank; I was still happy enough with Gallowsbird's to bother putting in the effort. And it just seemed like a bad Stereolab emulation, though I'd probably have to take that back these days.

I don't have any Magnetic Fields, I'm afraid. Maybe I should try Mt Eerie. There's something in that which is both melancholy and desperately innocent.

socks  said about 1 year ago:

Hmmm. I was on my way to 'M' when I passed by 'L' and spotted Love Is All. There we go.

socks  said about 1 year ago:

Anyway, you have probably gone to bed. I'm going to pull the covers over now too. 'Til soon.

I've noticed that it acts a bit weird in Safari. If you scroll to the left/right, or up and down, it affects which animation starts and stops. Interesting!

I'm thinking the latter.
