Beck would be awesome. One of the best performances I've even seen was from Ben Harper, so I wouldn't mind seeing him again either. Yes, yes...I know...he's a stupid hippie.
i'd assume it would be multiple stages, so you could see something else if ben harper was causing a gnashing of teeth.

the melbourne one last year was a breeze of a festival to be at, perhaps cause it was greatly under capacity, but compared to the bdo at the fucking carpark it was rad.

i loved the first v fest and i thought the 2nd not only had a great line up but was really well organised, had heaps of seats and shade, not too packed.

maybe the lower than BDO numbers encouraged them to go for your Snow Patrols rather than your Modest Mouses

about the worst festival lineup i've seen. shame it's so stacked with MOR shite, they've had a couple of fantastic lineups in a row.
Louis XIV are my most hated band of the past five years, along with the Hold Steady.
i don't think i would see a single band on that lineup's sideshow. whereas BDO i'd still see like three or four.
It's going to need some seriously brilliant second round lineup announcement to be worth a look in. Even if Mozza is announced he'll be doing a sideshow anyway right? Previous years have seen acts do sideshows. It would be a travesty to have to sit through that shite to see him. Wonder how many fans would do it....

There are many overseas bands that people want to see.
I don't understand why a band like Louis XIV gets invited to play. They're not that big or popular. I think they're lame. Surely for the same price, the V Festival could have got someone like M83.
