jimmytrash  said about 1 year ago:

Leave for Berlin.

jimmytrash  said about 1 year ago:

Go to the Grace Emily.

Adelaide Markets.

Get fucked up on cheap wine in China town.

elaine  said about 1 year ago:

Drive 45 minutes south and tour Mclaren Vale for awesome wines.

feralmedia  said about 1 year ago:

There's a pretty decent store on the outskirts of Kensington (?) called something Flamingo... Señor Flamingo maybe? I can't remember, but somebody from Adelaide could probably tell you. Ollie Graham runs it.

dandan  said about 1 year ago:

how did you know i want to live in berlin jimmy? have i met you before??

dandan  said about 1 year ago:

i want to take my morris minor and have a picnic somewhere too, cool

thanks everyone for your tip offs

penny lame  said about 1 year ago:

so jealous. i was going to go to adelaide this weekend and see leader cheetah. then got 400$ phonebill and alas. not happning.

dandan  said about 1 year ago:

i had a $800 phone bill for 2 months from 3, i hate them. their plans are terrible. i feel your pain

selected works  said about 1 year ago:

The Grace is great, but don't expect there to be no smoke - everyone smokes indoors there.

Get out and head to McClaren Value or the Barossa. Buy up big and profit.

Head to Morialta (20 min drive) for a pretty nice walk/picnic/snake-bite.

bestunbeatenbrother  said about 1 year ago:

hey dandan, are you kids all driving over (in the morris)? we'll take you up to the hills for a picnic - ange will undoubtedly take you op/vintage shopping to hype&seek and mint vintage. xbub

alicia  said about 1 year ago:

take alex's mum's dog down to brighton beach (or bring elliott over).

michael_horse  said about 1 year ago:

alicia  said about 1 year ago:

Kill some people, chop the bodies up, hide them in drums of acid.

anonymous  said about 1 year ago:

catch the tram to glenelg.

myra_lee  said about 1 year ago:

First things' first people. We're hitting Ying Chow.

alicia  said about 1 year ago:

go to east taste for the salt & pepper eggplant instead. most of the rest of the menu is the same but ying chow won't do s&p eggplant. but maybe i'm the only one that cares about that.

ChrisBrimstone  said about 1 year ago:

TimChuma  said about 1 year ago:

Go sit in one of the Cafes in Rundle St and wind up with whiplash - dang!

mcbaino  said about 11 months ago:

so, this weekend....anything good happening?

mcbaino  said about 11 months ago:

adelaide folk??

mcbaino  said about 11 months ago:

does it even exist; anymore, still, ever...?...???.......

bamesjaker  said about 11 months ago:

Apparently a reasonable number of Adelaide residents think the city is indeed a backwater. Maybe the new tram signals a turn around in the city's fortunes.

whatwhat  said about 11 months ago:

this weekend i just might dredge a dam

whatwhat  said about 11 months ago:

that'd be the haze of dope smoke that blankets the place.

dogsvscats  said about 11 months ago:

good old adelaide, thinking big as always. we're a decent size city, but people here just treat it like a small town. adelaide needs to think big

Strictly  said about 11 months ago:

currently posting from adelaide. so what's to do? I just got some delicious takeaway from A taste of Spice then?

aloha  said about 11 months ago:

are the pandas in adelaide yet?

things to do in adelaide:

  • eat nice cupcakes.
  • eat fake chicken burgers.
  • kiss nice girls.

mcbaino  said about 11 months ago:

i was there over the weekend. that was Ok because there was cricket on. however you could

  • hire a bike for free from bicycle sa down on somthingorother square just south of wakefield and pulteney st.
  • eat. there are plenty of good food places - chop sticks and lemograss on rundell st were quite nice but pretty pricey. otherwise there is the other street that starts with G, where the markets are.
  • The markets are great.
  • glenelg is OK for a few hours for some food and a swim. catch the old tam down there.
  • go to the Grace Emily every single night. Its the only good pub in Adelaide i swear, and they have some darn good music most nights. (buy a lighter for $1.50 as a souvenier.)
  • wander around town and watch the bogans fight each other/ bouncers and/or the cops.

aloha  said about 11 months ago:

Molly & Atiba  said about 10 months ago:

Adelaide turns to shit from 1am. If you wear jeans that are reasonably fitted you will be called a faggot and people will try to fight you because of their pent up love for gay people. If you don't look like them and are holding hands with your girlfriend whilst walking down the street, you will be called a faggot. They will be in car with a group of their (male) friends.

Last week there was supposedly fights bewteen fringe-goers and clipsal 500 race-goers. That would've been a sight. Sadly, I was down the other end of the city watching Sonic Youth in the rain because people are idiots in Adelaide and will put a show on outside NEXT TO A PERFECTLY GOOD INDOOR VENUE.

Rocket bar also turns to shit after the bands, and the drink prices are insane.

THUNDERCLAW are playing with LIKE LEAVES tomorrow night at the Ed Castle (west Currie Street). $5. Starts round 10ish.

I love this city, don't get me wrong.

I understand. When the F1 or Clipsal 500 is on, I always think of that Devil's Cabaret song 'Adelaide' though.

, you will be called a faggot. They will be in car with a group of their (male) friends.

Yes this happens everywhere. I love it.

Strictly  said about 1 month ago:
