because that will solve everything. tsk.
from ye olde self diagnosis mart.
Must be 2008
doctors surgery.
go to a physio then, and skip the gp.
have you tried physio/osteopath/chiro?
90% of back pain is idiopathic.
yes, i am calling you an idiopathic.
exercise and believe it or not, not sitting at a computer all day, will do wonders.
how about you go to the doctors instead of starting a thread.
anyone on this site a qualified back specialist?
im a qualified lay back specialist.
Is this the result of you spending too much time sucking your own cock?
Don't sit down.
Don't go to a Chiropractor.
I've done my back this week too.
I still dont know how.
Find a physio who treats using the McKenzie method
A friend had a bad back for years. On occasion it would get worse and he'd be able to do no more than lie on the floor. I sent him off too a remedial masseuse in Brunswick and she sorted him out. She also fixed me when I put my back out a while ago.
when it comes to your back, don't take risks. see a GP. get a CT scan or MRI to rule out any spinal issues before going to see a physio or anything like that.
TRUST ME
also don't listen to people who tell you that yoga/pilates/swimming etc will put you right. this is entirely dependent on the specific condition.
you don't want to fuck shit up by self-diagnosing or doing anything that could mess you up worse.
I know plenty of GP's who have misdiagnosed severe back problems.
don't get a GP to diagose - get them to refer you for a CT scan or MRI.
Then if something turns up you can go see a neurosurgeon or whatever relevant specialist can do the job properly...
start swimming or some shit.
i have been planning to swim some laps for about 3 months now. how do you get motivated, kunnington? or have you been doing it for so long now that it's become habit?
doing it for so long it's become a habit.
i get motivated by the pain generated by the fusions in my lower back, which swimming seems to alleviate. builds up the support muscles around the spine, apparently, and also keeps my weight down which reduces the stress on my back.
My back is killing me today. but I have no money to see anyone, a work mate said these guys are awesome
any decent gp or neurosurgen will send you to a physio for conservative treatment of the symptoms before recommending surgery, though. this worked for me for about 7 years.
