Anyone know of interesting elevators and have photos?

The hotel I stayed at in Bangkok last week had a glass elevator that was express from the lobby to the 31st floor. That was pretty cool.

Don't have a photo though... maybe I can find one online...?

It went up the right side. That's the best I can do.

Well this is a good thread.

Yeah, the one in my building is a Schindlers Lift.

Can take a photo for you if you'd like.

i was just in a lift that plummeted 7 floors, before breaking in a huge couple of jolts. there were 2 other men in there with me, but i didn't know them. i was seriously terrified, and am inspired to walk up and down 25 flights of stairs a couple of times a day from now on.

i now work for an elevator company. got me thinking. is:

the shining's elevator of blood the most famous elevator in pop culture?

i just found out there are elevators out there with secret compartments. something about fitting a paramedic stretcher. strange. for medical emergencies, paramedics can find the time to unscrew the back wall?

that boat elevator. check out the photo from the top with the rings leading to nothing. reminds me of a stage out of sonic the hedgehog! loop-da-loops!

Ahhh, crap. Shouldn't have opened this thread. Just as I was almost ready to downgrade my worst ever nightmare scenario from 'being stuck in a plumeting elevator filled with spiders and olives' to 'being indefinately stuck in an elevator filled with hairy spiders and olives'.

Good job with link Tinyman. I couldn't find any info on it.

I do know a bit more about Barrett Wells (of which there are numberous.)

Musically, the only good elevators are 13th floor ones.
