I must have seen this movie about 100 times. I love it.
The music, the car chases, the dialogue, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, the mall scene... there's so much to this bloody movie that it's scary.
Who's with me?
i have a bootleg of them playing the last night of the winterland ballroom.
its so cool seeing them being a real band
it truly is a classic movie. apparently briefcase full of blues is the best selling blues album of all time.
the music credit should go to paul schaffer oddly enough, although not appearing in the movie, fuck that guy could arrange some horns. great sound. having duck dunn on bass must also help.
that car chase is a classic
I agree - a great movie, tho I haven't seen it for about 15 years
This was the film that i would watch everyday as an obsessive 7 year old, and learnt the entire script...word for word.
shit movie enough saiid!
BEST
MOVIE
EVER
Shuddup crackwhore.
I reckon I can recite every line in the film.
How good is Ray Charles in it?
''*gunshot* Breaks my heart seein' 'em turn bad so young.''
*''It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.''
''Hit it.''*
I think it's screening on Foxtel today, they've been running promos all weekend.
Funnily enough, I first saw this movie as an unlisted preview with a screening of the Rocky Horror Show (yes, I was that tragic guy in my uni days). Had no idea what was coming.....
I had a copy of the sound track, then lost it when I was on the radio in Year Eight. I'm still grieving for it.
