So not new to some people. it's the I Spit Lies and Critter/Kritta EPs finally brought together as one album.
I'm sussing the artwork out now. Does anyone have any mad live photos of us they are keping secret? particularly old ones.
If you do let us know. CD should be out before the end of the year. cheers jem
Whats I Spit Lies?
I don't think I've got it?
Is that the wood one?
Sweet!
Mark me down for a copy!
yeah it's the one with the laminex cover book.
They were both made same place/time so it makes sense to whack them together.
Cool, Thanks, I've already got em both.
They're great, peeps.
Go buy this shit already.
Yeah i'm a little worried that all our fans already have both and that's where our ''market'' ends.
But i know tommy and patto didn't get a copy so atleast they can hear it now.
yunno, i own none of your records.....none of them.....i should look into this.......
Oh shit. we owe you copy of the jap split 'cos you lent us a pedal or something. sorry thought we'd done that. i'll bring it sat
But back to the point. if you have any mad pics send 'em my way or let me know or something. ok i have to go now to be a leg in a life size elephant puppet.
USE THIS ONE!
I opened this thread under false pretenses.
HA!
That on'es awesome! Can i get a copy. Altough it might be one for Tommy's solo album with us two as backing band.
get behind this people. this is pathetic
ill get behind you anyday
got these already. good pieces of work. buy kids buy.
No i mean send in your pics. And liam you were behind me just last night. or were you too wasted to remember.
Did you guys play at Forepaw?
Fuck, if you did, that would have been great, if you didn't .....DO IT!
No we got drunk at forepaw. Yeah i'd like to play there. Maybe we would be a bit loud? Who do you ask about this place anyway?
Slip a note under the door.
Otherwise you could try a PM. I'm sure the Forepaw crew have started threads on here before...
No way would you be too loud!
add's local glazier to speed dial
Do it!
Looks like there'll be Forshaw at Forepaw on Sunday.
who told you this?
The Forepaw website. Bachelor of Arts Forshaw, not Witchy Forshaw.
My comment was much more vague and confusing than I intended.
this thread is going off
Ah you all suck. I'm just gonna use a photo of my arse. Then all of you except liam will be sorry.
save it for christmas for me.
Or maybe someone can draw a nice picture of us
I have I spit lies, but I dont have the critter ep.. hmmm ! The split with ryokuchi is the best thing since sliced bread so I'll probs pick this up.
Yeah i did wonder if this might pop up. We'll keep it under $20 and the packaging will be nice.
Hold on to that I Spit Lies. maybe you can double your money on it on Ebay when we sell out and become famous.
You should do a split with Birushanah just for shits and giggles. I want more Birushanah, seriously.
You should write to SMD and suggest it. You never know eh.
You got the first Birushana album? With John and Simon from Dad They Broke me on it?
I got their recording from last time they were here and played PBS, but still trying to convince them to let me release it!
Yeah I got everything released by Birushanah, even the song of the BISHAMON release. The first Birushanah release is really interesting, great asian flavour.
I would actually kill you for those recordings, I'm obsessed with Birushanah. I have an awesome video recording from pony show if your keen aswell. Im friends with Liam (the underage dude you got into the pony, i was the other dude, the taller one!).
You would kill me? Well that sounds like a shit idea.
I'll have a word to shibata. he thought the performance was no good! dunno how he summised that.
Hey, Was that split thing you guys did on Vinyl?
Split can;t be pressed to vinyl 'cos we double tracked out of phase basses on it.
But next one will be a 12'' if i have my way and years of vinyl craving shall be rewarded
Cool, Thanks.
Count me in when you gets em.
Shibata rules, all of biru rule really. Im really keen to see them in Japan, with the whole set up with traditional jap instruments and such, would be soo good, crush corrupted any day of the week.
I have to say on the night we saw them with Corrupted they completely stole the show. Biru were so fucking subby i thought my nasal passage was gonna collapse. Corrupted were awesome, just not quite as heavy on the night.
hey i wanna cd. also bring in the we empty rooms catalouge to the old bar. we be setting up a record store in the back bar.
Shit you must really be desperate for some shelf filler.
Yep i'm on it.
How would you compare Birushanah in australia to Japan jem ?
It was a totally diff lineup mate. You not know the story? In japan lineup was same as 1st aussie tour but oh my god they were 1000 times tighter and heavier.
The recent aussie lineup had one day to rehearse! Their usual kit drummer was arrested for having a tiny amount of pot a week before the tour. So Waki (stand up percussion) had one rehearsal (in melbourne) to learn the kit parts and the dude on stand up had one jam to learn waki's bits! Sano (original stand up percussion) had been kicked out but brought back to play 2nd bass!
Yeah, I heard about that, Waki did a great job and Sano is just the man in general. But Im saying in terms of there actual sound, is it any heavier in japan or better (would you rather see them here or there ?) ?
Oh fuck it was ridiculous over there. Shibata used an 18'' sub with Powe amp, a Fridge and the Jazz Chorus. It was one of the most impressive sets of music i've ever seen in my life
He owns the venue and the PA is fucking awesome. I dunno how they'd go in some of the other places, they are a tough band to mix.
Max Kohane said Shibata has fucking THREE bass cabs in Japan, that is ridiculously awesome.
He used three amps. but one is a guitar amp. If you want ridiculous riggage look no further than Ryokuchi.
Harada used a minimum of 5 a night. One gig he had Two fridges, Two bass combos, two marshalls and a jazz chorus
Five, hahahaha. That is legendary. I'd like to see Shibata and Harada collaborate, that'd be absolutley ridiculous. That is actually amazing. I also gotta say Ryokuchi's drummer is very impressive, he beats the absolute shit of the kit and his beats are original and fresh.
I'm really keen to check out Sinkagura and see Birushanah, it just sounds massively impressive.
Look. even if someone just wants to draw a mad b/w picture of us back in the day???
Ok this is coming out soon even though no one had anything to offer artwise so it will just be my normal shit artwork. Out within 8 weeks i reckon.
ha! that was a good 8 weeks call. I;d say it's 6 weeks tops now.
:)
What's happening with the stuff recorded in Japan?
10'' out on Wantage REAL Soon! The missing link CD should be out soon too. In fact it's a race to see who gets it out first.
nice!
Test pressing of 10'' done. Any day now this baby be unleashed
Okay the CD will no longer be released by Missing Link.
I will prob just release it myself when i get the cash.
unless anyone else is interested?
BRO FIDELITY?
Broke Fidelity?
yes very broke, but I'd gladly save up some ducats to make this recording available.
