Has a DVD of live and behind the scenes footage (waiting to get blunted to check that out) aaaaand is one of the best hip hop records I know of.. Doom's pretty much the best MC in the world today fo mine. Fans? Or we all too indie 4 kindie? hehe..

its damn good. that guys stuff is generally amazing. he uses some really strange phrasing techniques too

jPack  said about 1 year ago:

Totally Alright. His phrasing's out of it. Makes yr think.. Makes yr think about phrasing in general.. Madvillian stuff's dope as well. Ahhhhh, music is rad.

fulton girls club  said about 1 year ago:

yeah, fuck i was stoked to find madvillian, madlib, peanut butter wolf, quasimodo, mf doom that whole ''group'' knows how to cut a track.

blake3030  said about 1 year ago:

I didn't get into Dangerdoom so much. Much prefer Madvillain. Operation Doomsday is similar to Madvillain.

jPack  said about 1 year ago:

It's weird. I find myself a lot less tolerent of shite hip hop, or that which skirts boarders of my taste. As opposed to faggy indie pop/rock where i'll sift through wads of shite to find somethink worth hours of pain for..

it used to be like that for me when i was alot younger, i found the culture alienating, i associated all rapp with violent black kids and felt ousted by race, but when i did get down to it it was amazing, i have alot of problems going through shitty indie pop though, it's mostly to whiney and wimpy.

blake3030  said about 1 year ago:

Some rapper in the US held 10 seconds of silence at his gig the other night for ''mf doom, who is fighting for his life in hospital''

It's unconfirmed.

Man, that's just for bullshit street cred.

50 Cent didn't get shot, he just fell on some nails at Bunnings.

blake3030  said about 1 year ago:

Weird way to gain street cred.

From wikipedia...

Fake Show Accusations Daniel Dumile has been accused of lip-synching at recent concerts, including events at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on 12 August and at the Independent in San Francisco on 15 August 2007. Opening acts for the San Francisco show confirmed that the microphone used by DOOM was not plugged in. Concert goers in San Francisco reacted violently at the conclusion of the show. The second show slated for the Independent in San Francisco the following night was cancelled, but was rescheduled for a later date. Many concert goers have demanded refunds, although Ticketmaster has sided with the concert promoters who insist that Dumile did perform at these events. Video clips from the 2007 ''Rock the Bells'' in Randall's Island show ''DOOM'' holding the microphone at arms length while the backing track plays a short MF DOOM lyric. As was the case with other shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco, DOOM did not speak to the crowd either during or in-between songs although at the Randall's Island show (as seen on youtube), he does adlib some lines. It has been said that, in fact, it was not even him on stage during these shows (aside from the Randall's Island show), because the person with the mask looked much thinner than Doom.

Cancelled shows were a regular occurrence during this string of West Coast events, including ''Rock the Bells'' in San Francisco. A concert scheduled in Pomona, California days before the El Rey event was cancelled. Shortly after the San Francisco show, the MF Doom show in San Diego on 19 August 2007 was cancelled just two hours before being set to start. The manager at ''Canes'' where MF Doom was to perform stated that he had phoned in saying he was too sick to perform.

Ben Westhoff of the Village Voice wrote a piece published September 6th, detailing the outrage voiced by his fans on numerous blogs and message boards, but gave no proof as to whether or not the accusations are true.

On 22 September 2007, at a show in New York where DOOM was supposed to be the headliner but cancelled, the MC for the show, Kenny Muhammad, asked for a minute of silence for MF DOOM who was ''fighting for his life in the hospital''.

DOOM RESPONDS TO RUMORS

SEP 26, 2007 – Every day for the past month we've been hit up by people wanting explanations, statements, clarifications, and declarations about MF DOOM. Is he lip synching? (No. Listen to the videos on Youtube.) Is he an impostor? (No, but he did lose some pounds.) Is he in the hospital? (No, he's in his studio ... or if not there, you can find him in the pub with the grub stain.)

Reached earlier this morning at his home in Georgia, an alive and well MF DOOM issued this statement: ''What up? I'm dead.''

DOOM was in Los Angeles recently and recorded a few verses at The Bomb Shelter studio, where Madvillain, Quasimoto, YNQ, and Madlib classics have been made. Among the new joints recorded was one with him and Guilty Simpson over J Dilla's ''Mash'' and another over Dilla's ''Lightworks''. ''Mash's Revenge'' will be released on the album ''B-Ball Zombie War'' on October 2. Take a listen:
