Wonky  said about 1 year ago  or at  11:06AM on Wednesday, August 29 2007.

And launched a nuclear strike that decimated the human race.

Never forget.

ahhahaha good one

zadie  said about 1 year ago:

I watched deep impact again the other night. Don't do it to yourself. Just ffwd to the last ten minutes of tidal wave carnage, then create a carnage porn loop with it.

september  said about 1 year ago:

which one is deep impact again?

there is one that scares the bejesus out of me but i don't think it's deep impact.

the one with sam neil in it.

LockingPlier  said about 1 year ago:

That's 'Event Horizon'.

RoastOxCrisps  said about 1 year ago:

hasta la vista, baby!

september  said about 1 year ago:

ah yes that's it. event horizon is a very scary movie. thrilling and gripping. 4 stars.

zadie  said about 1 year ago:

I'll check Event Horizon, I like doom. Deep impact has the awesomest tidal wave footage, big comet hitting the atlantic, but fucking miserable plot and performances.

Ouliposse  said about 1 year ago:

Good disaster films:

  • Miracle Mile
  • Posideon Adventure
  • Towering Inferno
  • Earthquake
  • Outbreak (hydrogen bomb pr0nz)

MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

Really? I thought Event Horizon was boring.

But I thought Brokeback Mountain was boring. Also didn't buy the whole ''wake up in the middle of the night and fuck like crazy'' introduction to their affair. But that's besides the point.

BADALEX  said about 1 year ago:

You didn't like Event Horizon? Well. That's certainly different from my taste.

Visually and conceptually I thought it was a good movie.

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

Possibly. It was still boring. And the acting was sub par.

T J Honeysuckle  said about 1 year ago:

I was not impressed by ''Event Horizon'', felt that the way the story played out let down an excellent initial premise and an great cast.
In other news, the hunter-killers are out.

Wonky  said about 1 year ago:

When I was 13 I read the novelisations of both Terminator and Terminator 2 :(

wipey  said about 1 year ago:

fucken nuronet processors

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

I have a collection of bad scifi novelisations. Though the novel of the Abyss was pretty good, I thought.

wipey  said about 1 year ago:

nah the abyss was shit, modi. don't be a fuckhead

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

The book was good. I'll lend it to ya.

wipey  said about 1 year ago:

ok. I'll lend you The diray of Adrian Mole

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

Nah, read it. Write us a story about going to the movies with your cousin instead.

juicenewton*  said about 1 year ago:

Has anyone seen ''the day after''? I dislike sci-fi (unless it all a metaphor for something else like Solaris/2001/ ET) But end of the world drama is a fav.

Modi  said about 1 year ago:

The nuclear war one? Yeah, I saw that. Made for TV, and originally broadcast with no ads for extra impact.

SGH  said about 1 year ago:

I read the novelisation of 'Last Action Hero'. Wow. If you thought the film was bad...

SheikYerbouti  said about 1 year ago:

Yep, my 21st birthday.

Yes fuckaz, happy birthday to me TODAY.

ending  said about 1 year ago:

anybody not wearing 2 million sunblock is going to have a real bad day get it?

god you think you're saving a life?

you're already dead. him, you, you're dead already.

this whole place, everything you see is gone.

IT HAPPENS!

(i think that's right. i haven't seen it in years but i loved it)

zadie  said about 1 year ago:

Happy birthday Sheik!

Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em 1988 shot in Melbourne post-nuclear war fallout bunker party is a fucking classic if only for the very last shot. Very much recommend everyone into their disaster films hunt it down, you used to be able to get a copy at the north fitz video store. Not scary, but a true Aussie Cult Classic.

BADALEX  said about 1 year ago:

Hell, I can't wait for the apocalypse. Rise of the machines, or zombies, I'm good.

Plague or nuclear holocaust might cause me a few problems however...

Skynet military launch is delayed

The launch of the UK's Skynet 5B military communications satellite from French Guiana has been delayed.

The spacecraft's Ariane rocket has developed an electronic problem in one of its solid fuel boosters and will be rolled back to an inspection shed.

The flight, originally timed for Friday night, is not now expected to take place until Monday at the earliest.

The £3.6bn Skynet project is designed to give British commanders access to more information, much faster

Looks like we're safe for the time being.

Tramdriver  said about 1 year ago:

I always remember that it went down in '97.

EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW COUUUUUUUUUUUULD BEEEEEEEEEEEEE MYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

BADALEX  said about 1 year ago:

Hrmmm. What kind of sucks, is that if you're using those laser machine guns, or plasma rifles 40 watt range or whatever, they seem to fuck up the HK's real nice.

So, what the hell is the difference between a Terminator and a meatbag at the end of the day?

Also, if Terminator Three is right, a) Why didn't the fuel cel go kaboom when it got crushed in the Hydraulic press in the first one? b) In the future, why don't they just get some kid who'd played too many computer games to just shot on of the hk's in a big group, and watch the whole bunch go up like firecrackers?

Wonky  said about 2 months ago:

What's Helena Bonham-Carter doing in T4?

tinyman  said about 2 months ago:

What's Helena Bonham-Carter doing in T4?

i'd like her as a murdering psycho cyborg.

or, i'd just like her.

Godzilla  said about 2 months ago:

they could set it way in the future and she could reprise her planet of the apes character

tinyman  said about 2 months ago:

computer intelligence is said to become ''self aware'' in sci fi.

i don't know, but when i'm feeling self aware, i'm not exactly in a decimate mankind kinda mood. i'm more worried about the pimple on my face or something. i think if a nuke armed military supercomputer becomes self aware, it'd be more like marvin the paranoid android?

Godzilla  said about 2 months ago:

does this case mod make me look fat?
