yeah, if that was for a decent melbourne venue, i'd so do it - what's a tatt? $250 and 45 minutes of mid-level pain. i'd make that back in a single year of shows, even if they had a 'no internationals' clause.

Also The Transit Bar, Holy Grail, The Front, a couple of youth centres.
& yep, Phoenix Bar is tiny but hosts some of the best live music nights going. Monday nights in particular are usually fantastic there.
Er, i was speaking metaphorically - as in 'thats the only place that has consistant good live music and international touring acts and as such is the only one that would be worth getting a tat for in Canberra. i'm aware of Canberra's music scene and have listings for all those venues...but i can't see myself geting a tat of them
